The staff was amazing, room was clean and cozy. The housekeeping staff was great, especially Brenda! Every morning, we had complimentary coffee and warm croissants delivered to our room on the cutest silver trays. The room was cleaned every day while we were out and about. We stayed for 4 nights and loved the location. We were able to explore...

The room was so beautiful and clean and luxurious. They offered a free breakfast. Marisa gave me tons of insight and tips/advice. I'm relocating here and she even showed me specifically where to get lodging and more.. Everything!!

Arrived before Check-In Time and was able to leave my bags for no fee. There isn't any parking on spot, but you can pull up and they will valet your car for you. ($45.00 a night, but not bad, most hotels are over $30) When I arrived later my bags were in my room. It was beautiful. The most comfortable...

Loved the atmosphere, the continental breakfast delivered to the door and the helpfulness of the staff. Was confused by how housekeeping was handled. We had to sign something about what we wanted done in the room. I thought that was weird. The room was kind of gloomy. Better lighting might have helped. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room....

Great place to stay, excellent location to the French Quarter! The hotel was clean, the staff were all very friendly and the homemade croissants were amazing. This is an older hotel so it is not modern, the room is a little drafty, but this is new orleans you are in historic city! The courtyard is nice. Would stay here again!

quiet sleeping, with quaint patio, comes with resident sweet cat! near all the sights and sounds you want to walk to. the "breakfast is just coffee and croissant, but not bad. my friend is a smoker, and was able to sit outside in the courtyard and smoke without difficulty and without disturbing the airspace of nonsmokers.

The room was very comfortable and was close to everything but also far enough away not to be overwhelmed by the excitement of Bourbon Street, which was only a couple of blocks away. Staff were friendly and responsive. I would definitely go back.

I checked in after a very long flight from Australia. The staff were very helpful and gave me ideas on where I could get something to eat. It's one block from Bourbon Street. I had a nice room on the ground floor which opened onto the courtyard. I got a continental breakfast every morning. I could easily walk to all...

The most charming hotel I've ever stayed in. Historic building - operated as a hotel since the late 1800's. The staff was delightful. In the heart of the French Quarter, the location cannot be beat. Even though it's a block off of Bourbon St, the hotel was very quiet. While Bourbon St is known for it's bars/nightlife, Royal Ave (where...

My husband and I are spending a night after a week in New Orleans. Decided to spend an extra night and chose this hotel based on its great location. It was a bit pricey, but seemed worth it. The check in was ok but we had to take all out luggage up in a narrow and old staircase. Arrived at...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
