We had a great time at this hotel. The staff was great and the property was amazing. We had a great time visiting the French quarter. The view from room 201 is absolutely amazing when they have the umbrella parades going on. Only down side no ghost activity.

Great place for those looking for a quaint stay in the part of the French Quarter that is not overrun with flashy bars, strip clubs and tourist nick-nack shops. Most bisitors to New Orleans seldom see this side of the Quarter and get a very different impression of how the area is. A number of friends of mine have lived... More

The first morning we discovered there was an issue with the hot water. We informed the front desk. When it was decided it wouldn't be an easy fix, we were moved to another room. The cleaning staff was very quick to offer assistance in moving our items. Miss Annie always made sure our breakfast was on time and that we... More

My son and I stayed there over the weekend a couple of weeks ago. The accommodations were just as we expected. The staff were friendly and very helpful with where to eat etc. We would definitely stay here again. I enjoyed being just a couple of blocks from the best shopping!

Found this place on bookings.com about 10months in advance. Seemed expensive at first, but soon we came to realise the only other places in a similar or slightly cheaper price range we generally on the very outskirts of the French Quarter and were all quite modern and sleek..we wanted to visit NOLA for the proper experience and boy did we... I took a trip this past Feb with my best friend to NOLA. When we first pulled up to the hotel I was a little nervous because they were under construction but it was so cute and cozy. The brought us tea and croissants each morning. It was a great hotel to stay at and the workers there helped us... More

This was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary in a French Quarter Hotel. The location was perfect on Royal Street. An easy walk to great restaurants, bars and places of interest. Although the hotel is very old with a wonderful history it met all of our needs and then some. We were in room 202 with... More

Nice neighborhood and very friendly staff at the hotel. Clean rooms, nice beds and a small garden where you can sit and have a cup of coffee for free. Room no 201, 202 (royal street view) and the rooms in the courtyard is definitely the best choice.

Stuff very friendly and helpful but hotel itself kind of old and needs some restoration. Air condition very noisy, lock in the door worked very bad. In general they need to do some maintnance. On the other hand room was clean and staff very helpful. Be careful there is a valet parking for extra 39 bucks/day. Hotel has perfect location... More

The hotel was old not antique. Room is a great size. The decor was salvation. The comfort was great. AC worked. The condition of the room is clean and functional but out dated and unfinished. The continental breakfast was a little skimpy. The staff was very hospitable and informative. The location was central to all points of interest.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
