We were fortunate to travel with relatives who had the 2 bedroom 3 bath penthouse suite for the week. The room was spacious and was two floors. The first floor had a full kitchen with accessories, a full bathroom and a living room with two pull out beds and a tv. Upstairs were two more rooms - a large master...

My biggest complaint about the Quarter House is the parking. The garage for the hotel is a few blocks away and downtown, which is almost all one ways. New Orleans can be confusing enough for tourists without the maze to the parking garage. With that said, the hotel is in a great location. We had a suite for a bachelorette...

We had long planned a trip to New Orleans and wanted to stay central to the French Quarter. We were warmly greeted when we checked in and walked through the charming courtyard to take the elevator up to our "home away from home" and it truly was! The place is old, but quaint, exposed brick and some exposed plaster walls....

We vacationed at the Quarter House Resort from August 30, 2014 thru September 6, 2014. I found this property thru my Interval International Getaways. This was our first time in New Orleans and we had the best time ever. The Quarter House is located on Chartres two blocks over from Bourbon. We had a one bedroom/one bath that slept 4,...

We've been to New Orleans more times than we can count, and although we are RCI timeshare owners, we'd never stayed at Quarter House until this past week. Its location just off Canal Street, across from the motor-court entrance of the Marriott Hotel and around the corner from The Palace Cafe (which is superb and reviewed separately by me), renders...

My husband and I were there in August 2014 with our time share exchange through interval International. Room 112 was assigned to us. First, it's safe. You will feel protected unless you suffer from paranoia. And as everyone has mentioned, the location is perfect. We walked as far as Frenchmen Street and back. We did a lot of walking to...

I loved the convenience of where the Quarter House Resort was located. It was so close to go wherever you need in the city. We walked the whole 5 days and never even got our car out of the parking deck. The resort was nice and had a cheese and wine tasting while we were there one evening, and other...

Having been an owner at this landmark location for over twenty five years I have seen the best of times and the worst of times. I can truly say, after just spending two weeks at the resort, these are the best of times. The property itself has never been in better condition the maintenance staff is really top notch as...

My wife and I used our time-share to book a room in the Quarter House Hotel Resort in New Orleans. It consists of several old historic brick buildings, connected together. The location is within easy walking distance of the significant places in the French Quarter, including restaurants, homes, government buildings, clubs, bars, the Mississippi River, cemeteries, etc. The staff is...

As everyone else has mentioned - it is in the perfect spot in the French Quarter, close enough to all of the night life and fun stuff but not too close that its noisy! Its not a Resort ... But very quick check in - the staff are really nice and friendly! The room we stayed in was Suite 404...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
