Ok, I hesitate to write a review strictly because this is now my favorite place to stay in the French Quarter, and I'd like to be able to get a reservation on the fly the next time I'm in NoLa. In other words, the more...More
RBGH is located in the quiet, more residential part of the French Quarter, while still being within walking distance of the insanity of Bourbon and the live music of Frenchmen. My husband and I stayed in The Suite along with a friend. It was absolutely...More
This was my second visit to the Barracks and certainly won't be my last. Kelly and Sugah B are excellent hostesses. I've only stayed in the suite, but the other rooms look nice too! So close to walk to the market and anywhere else in...More
Fabulous guest house, great location. Kelly couldn't have been more welcoming as we arrived. In the French Quarter not far from everything. Queen bed, microwave, refrigerator, cold AC and ceiling fan. Great accommodations. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thanks!

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
