What I liked was that I felt comfortable. The location is great to get out of the craziness and enjoy the quaint neighborhood and some excellent little dining/bars nearby. It's not overly fancy and to me that made me feel more at home. We were...More
And Carl helped us a lot for that.
The Burgundy is a nice house where to stay. He was helpful and answered all our questions, even helping with private stuff when he could.
The position is great: 10 minutes from Frenchmen Str, 15 min from...More
Great place to stay! Carl is most helpful in pointing out things to do and he helps even make reservations for certain things for you at a discounted price!
We looked for a gay B&B with a jacuzzi and this place was wonderful.
B and B's are about the experience, and ours was a very positive one I must say.
House is convenient to the FQ, and well maintained. Host Carl was friendly enough.

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
If you can fit down a 3 ft wide alley you can park in the alley or push all the way to the back courtyard. The bikers I have had until now have opted to leave their bikes on the street and there has never been a problem.
