If you're looking for a B&B that's close to the French Quarter, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet, look no further! Excellent food, amazing prices and the rooms are like your "home away from home"....with a New Orleans kick added in!

We had a great time in Nola, and felt very at home with our host. I will be back to visit!! Parking was easy, Uber was fast and the neighborhood was friendly and quite. The art folk art work in the bed and breakfast is worth the visit on its own.

This is a lovely little B & B, filled with folk art and tasteful furnishings. Friendly and informative hostess (Pamela) and comfortable, clean rooms. I truly enjoyed my stay. Living, dining and other common rooms are brightly painted, adorned with charming local art and lots of books. I had writing work to do, so I spent a nice afternoon with... More

This place is great. I almost don’t want to post a review, but I can’t keep this place a secret. Does it have off street parking, No. Did I park on the street for three days for free with a nice car without incident, Yes. I chose to walk roughly a mile to the Riverfront Street Car every morning around... More

.We stayed here recently as we were going to Jazz Fest. Very very clean, very comfy and accomodating. We had a lovely time! The owner and manager were very welcoming and you really feel like you are staying with friends. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Thank you! we will be back. It could not have been a nicer experience.

This beautiful B&B is located in an up and coming neighborhood and about 20 minute walk from the French Quarter. I would not reccomend walking at night in the neighborhood - the B&B even discourages it. However there are some nice neighborhood restaurants, etc. The house is clean and the manager went out of her way to accommodate my schedule.... More

One of the best places I ever stayed at! The people running the B&B are lovely, happy to provide suggestions and advice and making sure the guests have everything they need. The house is beautiful - colourful, filled with local artworks. Located in Bywater, a neighborhood with cafés, restaurants, bars and good music (within walking distance), but without the noise... I made a reservation in July for December. I later found that there is not adequate off-street parking available. I was going to visit a cousin and at first she recommended this B&B but after checking found that it is in a neighborhood that is not safe to walk in at night (most neighborhoods are unsafe at night not just... What a lovely, colorful place to stay!!! The home was beautiful with such interesting artwork everywhere and delightful, friendly and helpful hostesses. It's in the Bywater neighborhood where we felt as safe as anywhere in New Orleans and close to the French Quarter and wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The house is meticulously restored, the rooms are large and comfortable... More

This b&b was really a home away from home. I was there for a week with my sister and we were treated like extended family. The home is filled with fascinating local folk art and comfortable and attractive furniture. The place was spotless. The new manager Lisa was attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
