First time in New Orleans, planned to stay here for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5. Mainly because he owners, Lauren and Daniel are such excellent hosts. Great advice on where to go and what to do, nothing better than a local to...More
Didn't start off great here arriving in the rain on nye and realising there wasn't a reception desk at night and we were looked out (should have done a bit more research into it) but the hotel was great. The bar and pool were great...More
Arrived here after a quite stressful journey from Vicksburg. Hit one large traffic holdup in Baton Rouge and another one entering New Orleans. Area appeared a bit run down, so it was with a bit of trepidation that we approached the house. But you receive...More

Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining
destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.

the pool is NOT heated. water will be too cold to swim in November but the weather itself should be pretty dreamy. the horrid high humidity heat ends in mid to late October. then its mild, sunny, you may need a light jacket.
