Nice hotel located 1 block off Bourbon Street with bar and coffee shop. Clean, very good service with on site person to help with tourist reservations and restaurant recommendations. I would recommend and stay at this hotel in the future if back into New Orleans.

Location of hotel was in easy access to Bourdon St. loud, noisy guests in hallway with the conversations sounding like they were taking place within our room, no fan in bathroom. Friendly staff when greeted.

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the

The hotel has a concierge who can help you with hiring a car. However, if you want a self-drive vehicle to be delivered to the hotel, the easiest is to book it through Enterprise Rent-a-car. They have several locations in... More
We travel a lot to places like Jamaica, Costa Rica, DR, Aruba, Mexico... etc. This is our 1st time to New Orleans. We are excited about experiencing the music, food and the culture. We are not party people but still want to be in the middle of everything. We will not have a car. We think that we are going to stay at the Hyatt Centric on 800 Iberville St. How is the pool? Is it heated? I read that courtyard rooms are better. Which of those rooms are large with nice views; its our 13 year anniversary and we want it to be memorable and special. Are there fridges and microwaves in the rooms? What things are MUST Do's? Restaurants, Drinks, activities, sights.......I read about the 5 day bus, ferry and streetcar pass; is that worth it. Is Uber expensive there? How should we get around? We will be there the last week of August and the 1st week of Sept. How's the weather is that storm passing through there? What's the nights like; pleasant, chilly, lots of bugs...what? Excited; cant wait! Need Info and suggestions!
