The location of this hotel pulls you in...it is the employees who keep you coming back. My husband and I just spent a long weekend there. The rooms were spacious and well thought out with 9 foot ceilings and the bathroom had enough counter space for both of us as well as the BEST hotel hairdryer ever!! The hotel manager...

Everything was top notch here from check in to check out! My room in 3rd floor was huge with two queens, large sitting area and lounge as well as settee at end of bed. Bathroom was very large and well laid out. Location was perfect! Only a very short walk to beginning of Bourbon Street but not too close that...

We stayed in the Hyatt Centric for a long weekend and was initially attracted to the property because they have oversized rooms which is a rarity in the French Quarter. Not only was the room spacious, clean, and well designed, but it was exceptionally quiet. In fact, the entire hotel was quiet. The hotel has an entrance on Canal St,...

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt this weekend. The location is great. You are close enough to French Quarter but away enough from street noise. Staff is wonderful from valet to front office to housekeeping. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to New Orleans.

Nice stay. Love the grand older style architecture. Remodeling has been done with great colors. Sweet rooms with high ceilings, lots of room to r Ed lax and stretch out. Like being able to get some fantastic dinner at the attached restaurant, or the interior hallway to Poydras & shopping .

After much searching and searching through reviews I booked the hotel because it looked updated. It did not disappoint. It is a large hotel that is modern and updated. It is very clean. The room we had was a good size with a queen bed. The sitting area was just a small chaise with a table in front nit big...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
