We stayed in a king terrace room on the penthouse floor. There are 2 rooms that are fancier penthouse rooms, but this is a typical hotel room with a terrace so the price is good. The bed is huge with a nice mattress, linens are nice, towels are thick and fluffy and everything was clean. There is a terrace with...

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about enjoying your room. We love our Penthouse rooms too. We also very much appreciate your feedback on the water pressure as we are constantly monitoring that. Safe travels until we meet again.

We booked our stay at the last minute, when we decided to venture into NOLA on our way to Big Bend. The Bellman, Dennis, greeted us warmly at the front door and provided thorough information on parking. He assisted us in storing our bikes securely in their utility closet. Dennis really went above and beyond to be personable, accommodating, and...

The hotel is nice. Its well decorated and has many amenities but manages to feel like a small town hotel. The staff are very into customer service and work to treat everyone like family or a friend. Property is just 2 blocks from the French Quarter and 1.5 blocks from Starbucks. 1 block away is the Red Gravy which does incredible...

We recently had to attend a family wedding in New Orleans so we stayed at the International House. We stayed there because of it's close proximity to The French Quarter. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The room was so so. The bathroom had a small, cracked sink but a nice big tub. Housekeeping was a bit of a...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We do truly appreciate it and are thrilled that you enjoyed the service offered by our Front Desk Team. It sounds like we let you (and us) down with our Housekeeping services and apologize to you for that. It is not the service that we take pride in providing and...

Just completed my 4th stay at the International House. Hands down the best beds and pillows. I travel a lot and rarely find soft downy pillows in a hotel, so slept well! The hotel is situated in an ideal spot for visiting NOLA, two blocks from the French Quarter, a few blocks from the Arts District, and great for visiting...

This is a small hotel in a renovated one-time bank building just a couple of blocks across Canal Street from the French Quarter. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the staff is great: friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The bar is lively and welcoming, as is the comfortable lobby. International House has a personal feel -- much appreciated in this...

My wife and I were in New Orleans for the Dolly Parton concert at the Smoothie King Center. We decided to spend the night in the city since it was our anniversary and the concert would be late. We loved the hotel, as it was very convenient to everything! It was only about 15 minute walk to SKC and very...

Our stay here was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy! In fact its so comfy Im going to call them and ask them what kind it is! We were on the 9th floor and you could still hear plenty of street noise, so its no the quietest of hotels. The staff is very friendly...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
