We stayed for 4 day and three nights. We were allowed early check in at noon by Paula. She was nice, and fast. The Bell hop assisted with luggage. The room was clean, we had no issues during our stay. The elevators are a bit slow, the water pressure is low for flushing, but was fine and hot for showers....

This beautiful hotel is located in the heart of New Orleans… It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street to be peaceful but one can easily get to the French Quarter from the hotel. The staff was beyond helpful: the ladies at the front desk are pleasant and helpful and make you feel right at...

My wife and I stayed at Le Pavillon several years ago and simply LOVED it. Everything about that stay was perfect and we were close to making this our Nola hotel. Until this stay..... I made the reservations months in advance as I was coming in to do the New Orleans Tough Mudder. It was early on Saturday, so we...

We have stayed at Le Pavillon several times. It's our first choice in NOLA because of the location as we are usually going to the Super Dome or Smoothie Center. This stay was different from the others. I knew on arrival that things had changed - no tuxedo, top hat doorman. No big deal, but always something that expressed the...

We flew in from FL on Friday March 17 for a two night stay. We arrived about 11:30 and they told us our room was not ready. Everyone at the front desk looked miserable. Being that we were tired we asked if they could have the room ready before the normal check in time of 3pm, they said no, Not...

I really wanted to stay here, but they gave away my room! I booked more than 3 months in advance through Hotwire, paid in advance, and was assured that I had a guaranteed room. I showed up at the hotel and the staff told me they had received instructions to cancel my stay (along with several other guests), and to...

This hotel was a great place to stay while seeing New Orleans for the first time. It's within walking distance to the French Quarter, the Superdome and Smoothie King Centre, and a lot if other major historic attractions. The garden district and Frenchman street are both only a $10 uber away as well. The little details of the hotel in...

The hotel is renovating and slowly losing its beautiful old world charm and the level of service is crumbling too. You'll find the pictures and panoramic views to be of what once was but is no longer. Our rooms and hallways are new and fresh but now mixing with a more traditional modern feel and losing the French provincial charm....

My wife and I had been planning our honeymoon in New Orleans for a long time. We were going to be staying a week and we wanted a hotel that we could really love for that time. Le Pavillon is easy to love. You can't miss it from the street. The hotel sticks out as a gorgeous baroque structure in...

I was not impressed with the Pavilion Hotel at all, for the money I have stayed in nicer places. The lock on the bathroom door was broken, light bulbs where blown out. Staff was really bad, very rude people.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
