Gorgeous courtyard and friendly staff. Very pretty place. But king bed was positioned so you could hardly walk across the room. Dresser needs to be moved. Restaurant dinner was extremely expensive and understaffed.

We had a great time at this hotel. The concierge Dawn was top notch. She made all our dinner reservations, each restaurant was better than the last. The location is great just two short blocks from Bourbon street. The pool was very nice after a hot day.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great stay. Located in the middle of the French quarter walking distance to all the attractions; Mississippi, Bourbon St, Riverwalk shopping mail etc. Used the local trolley buses, really cheap and regular, 40 cents for seniors. Trip up Mississippi on paddle boat Natchez was s wonderful experience. Paddy O'Briens was a fantastic...

I had a 2 night stay at the Maison Dupuy Hotel in New Orleans. Upon arrival I requested an upgrade when I learned that the their was no view from this room. The gentleman at the desk informed me that nothing else was available at the time, however he would get me a different room on the following night of...

This was a fabulous hotel. Great location and great staff. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. The pool area is lovely to relax. Breakfast was nice and reasonably priced. Sometimes areas are closed to private parties but this didn't matter too much.

We spent a long weekend there. Very convenient location for the French Quarter; close enough to walk to everything, but far enough away from the teeming masses to get a good night's sleep. Rooms were clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Rooms were a bit small, but that's not a deal-killer. My wife thought the bathroom in the...

The fact that we've been visiting The Maison Dupuy for 14 years, and 3 or 4 times per year, must tell you something. It is quite charming. Despite being in the tourist center of one of the world most touristic cities, the hotel and staff are really great. From Marvin who's team greet you, though Josh in the bar and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
