Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Stayed here for our multi-family trip to New Orleans to attend the Sugar Bowl. Really easy in and out from French Quarter using Uber and Lyft. Great views of the lake, and a nice quiet neighborhood around it. The breakfast buffet in the Hotel Restaurant is really great! Front

The location is in downtown, walking distance from the French Quarter, Harrah casino, mall, etc The hotel parking is $42/day, but parking around the area is very expensive also. The hotel is very busy, staffs are friendly, the room is clean. The hotel's pantry is very good.

Here for a conference. Everything in town is sold out. My room is next to the elevator and sounds like a train is roaring through every time it goes up or down. Earplugs are not helping. In my previous career as a Travel Manager, I spent 16 years in every type of hotel

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel. We took the red eye from Houston and arrived several hours before normal check-in time. We were worried that we'd have to wait around for hours but the woman at the check in desk was amazing and found us a room right away. The room

We did not use the pool. Perhaps you could go to website and either e-mail or call them to find out.

I am not sure at all. We scheduled our own transportation service to and from. But if you contact the hotel, they will be more than happy to help. One of our guest needed a mobile scooter for the trip and the hotel recommended a company to us that we used.

In New Orleans you don’t need a car but answering your question is $35 per night , not worth it , to expensive.
