Definitely a great pick when considering visiting and staying in the French Quarter. This is right at the beginning of Bourbon Street and close to everything in the quarter. Freshly renovated entrance made the drive into the taxi arrival area very welcoming. The hotel room was very nice however the bathroom was kind of small. We were just in town...

Dear BobH, Thank you for your overall review, including the issues regarding the elevators. It was surely a focus for us this past weekend. We hope you decide to give us another try when you're in NOLA!

Located on Canal street, the edge of the French Quarter, makes it the perfect location. The casino is a couple blocks away. This hotel is also just blocks away from Bourbon St. and some really great restaurants. Check in was easy, plenty of bell hops to assist. The room was clean and average. The bed was comfy and soft. The...

Very very noisy hall. 5 minuts just waiting for the lift bringing you in the room. No internet includet, no breakfast included. Starbuck in the hall: 20 mins queue in the morning just to get a coffee... The shower that is too low that I had to lean, and on the top of that leaking (see picture). At 15.30 the...

Submitted to the Marriott; The Hell-A-Vator you have there is awful. With two conferences in the hotel you would think the restaurant would have more than one waitress and one cook on, you need new management there. We had to have a service guy come up to fix the TV and Remove an 1 1/2 screw from under the rug...

Dear PaulAntonelli, Thank you for your post. It appears your stay wasn't enjoyable due to elevator issues and a variety of service and product issues. It really isn't up to par with what our expectations are either! We hope when your travels take you back to NOLA, you'll be willing to give us another try to make it right for...

The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can't go wrong with the location right on Canal Street, the French Quarter as your backyard. Perfect. BUT this Marriott is for conventions, as the front desk clerk told me when I voiced issues I had with my stay. The lobby is crowded all the time. The check in/check out...

Dear NjRobin, Thanks for your feedback. You're right; we're a very busy busy hotel that often has sheer volume of numbers in our lobby. We do our best to give each guest personalized attention (conventioneers and non) but it seems like we may have fell short when you were a guest with us.

Recently returned from a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and stayed at the New Orleans Marriott. My brother booked two Double Rooms (each room was to have two double beds) last year as it was a party of four males travelling together and we wanted to get the request in early. When we arrived late Friday we were...

Very accommodating to our early check in request due to early flight. Not as accommodating to our late check out request due to a late return flight but that is understandable. This hotel was in a great location to walk everywhere. Staff was very friendly. The room we were in was rather tired, see photos. I stand at 6'1" and...

I stayed four nights at this hotel and was on the 37th floor. The view was great; the room and bedding appealing and the wifi and TV choices great. The bathroom was tiny and awkward to use - it was hard getting in and out due to the door swinging inward and blocking access to the bathtub and also making...

Dear bcsanders, Thank you for your comprehensive review of the hotel. We agree the view and location are spectacular but the slowness of the elevators while you were here would surely give us a lower rating. We hope your next trip to New Orleans is better, and we can provide some vegan options for you!

We stayed here for a quick getaway, but wanted to miss the chaos of Mardi Gras. The hotel is located centrally in the Downtown area and within walking distance to everything! Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
