It was OK. the room was small, everything works. The bed was comfy. The rooms and entire hotel is clean and maintained. The bar/restaurant area was great for a quick drink or nightcap. The bellmen, doormen, and concierge all very helpful.

Recently stayed here and the location was very convenient to walk to the Casino and Bourbon St. Our room was quiet, clean and had a good view but no fridge or microwave. Round trip to Airport by Taxi was 33 dollars. Starbucks located in the downstairs lobby was nice in the AM.

If you are just looking for a place to stay, it'll do. It's clean, the rooms are average. The service leaves nothing to call home about. I stayed for a MC conference and it looked like several conferences were going on at the same time. The elevator situation was horrible during this time. It might be a little more helpful...

Five college buddies and I reunited in New Orleans and enjoyed our stay very much. The highlight was Deirdre, a concierge who got us restaurant reservations on a Saturday night at a fantastic place, recommended Frenchman Street for music and took the time to care about our visit. People like that are what make the best vacations.

I was a guest at this hotel from March 15, 2015 until March 21, 2015 for a national bridge tournament. The convention rate was $160 per night. This facility certainly did not meet the expectations of any pricey hotel. It was the worst Marriott in which I have ever stayed. The bathroom was small with no towel racks near the...

One quick nice point before I dive into the negatives: Nice beds! My business partners and I spent almost $9000 with the hotel a couple weeks ago (3 regular rooms + 1 suite for 5 nights). We spent almost all of our time in the suite, as planned, to get a bunch of work done. Literally 5 minutes into our...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
