I can not tell you how beautiful this property truly is , because it is a place you have to experience for yourself....I will tell you the customer service was beyond expectations. The pool was 24 hour and with the waterfall & the lights across the pool it was so relaxing. I still do not understand how anyone could have...

Perfect location in the FQ. Wine and biscuits in the afternoon and an okay breakfast in the morning. Spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. Never Swam in the pool but it was a nice feature. Nice and helpful staff.

Stay here and explore Faubourg Marigny. No cars needed! We had shrimp and grits across the street at Buffa's. Walked to Horn's for people watching, cocktails, and dessert. Explored a bit more and headed back to the pool at Melrose. Wine and Cheese was served in the afternoon. Tried out Angeline for dinner and loved it, too. The next morning...

We stayed in a studio suite at Melrose Mansion for our 10th anniversary. Everything about our stay was just about perfect. The staff was very friendly and courteous, and was happy to provide as many free bottles of water as we requested. The pool was a good size and very refreshing on a hot summer day. Free breakfast and wine...

My husband and I spent a few days in NOLA at this lovely hotel. Our room was an executive suite and it was contemporary perfection. Every area was clean and well maintained. The pool is beautiful. Common areas also beautiful. A couple of issues we experienced started in the massive bathroom. The tub shower combo is ill conceived and designed....

An absolute gem of a place - excellent staff. Rooms vary from being adequate to superb. Close to all the music venues but far enough away to enjoy some peace! Super pool open all day & never busy. Would certainly stay again!

We loved this hotel and would return. Friendly, helpful staff and a spacious, clean room in a beautifully renovated mansion. Complimentary happy hour, adequate breakfast. We liked the location just outside the French Quarter. An easy 10 min walk straight down Esplanade to the market or Frenchman St (much nicer than Bourbon St) or 15min to Jackson Square (choose a...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
