My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2017. Every aspect of our experience was top notch. We arrived to the French Quarter in the morning. Hotel Provincial was very accommodating accepting our luggage early so we could walk around town before check-in. They called us when our room was ready in case we wanted to check...

We came to New Orleans for business and pleasure, to celebrate my 60th birthday. Hotel Provincial was absolutely lovely. Fabulous location, of the five little buildings, our room was on the Decatur Street, 2nd floor with a floor to ceiling window that opened onto a balcony with tables and chairs, right over the street. It's far enough from Bourbon Street...

We loved this hotel. Close to everything, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. The staff and accommodations were amazing. The only disappointment was the coffee cups. Because there are no coffee makers in the rooms, you have to go down to the lobby for coffee in the morning. The coffee cups are not large enough, so two cups...

We booked this hotel using trip advisor. The staff at the hotel could not have been any nicer!! I made a mistake with our booking and needed to continue our stay an extra night. They front desk staff came to the rescue "no problem" and booked an extra night. The hotel grounds were pretty and the rooms were comfortable and...

Hotel Provincial is located ideally in the French Quarter within walking distance to everything that we wanted to see so no car was necessary. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. The beautiful courtyard was definitely a plus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great rooms, outstanding service, perfect location. Will stay again! Anthony and Sherlene provided outstanding service. Everyone has a smile on their face and anticipates your needs. The staff are one of the best I have ever experienced. We parked the car and never had to use it again while there. Everything is within walking distance., including trolley & other public...

This is my 10th time staying at the Hotel Provincial and like a good wine it seems to improve with age. Clean rooms, great value and awesome location in the quiet part of the French Quarter. Loved the new addition of the Ice House Bar. James is a great bartender! Looking forward to my next visit

My wife and I love to stay here. Great location and the staff go way beyond to make you feel at home. We have stayed here many times and will return. I am now just adding some more character because saying everything is great is not enough to meet the character requirments. Just stay here you will not regret it.

The Provincial is not a hotel, it's my second home. I've been there 8 times in the last 10 years and I'm always welcomed with open arms. Sherlane treats me as if I'm part of the family every time I visit, as does Etienne & James. They make the best drinks in the quarter. Their hurricanes are from scratch NOT...

Stayed here a number of times and it has always been a pleasurable experience. Sherlane is so friendly and helpful, she'll set you up right. Then I'd suggest going to the Ice House bar to see Etienne for the best & homemade hurricanes in the area!!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
