We went here for a weekend getaway. It's a great atmosphere. Can't beat the Carousel Bar or the location. Smaller rooms, because it's an older hotel. The ambience is great. Walking distance to everything.
This was the fast time at Hotel Monteleone, and the experience was outstanding. Upon arriving the valet made you feel at ease, this continued through check-in. The whole experience was great and would recommend to anyone.

We visited New Orleans for the first time and stayed at the Hotel Monteleone (which had also been recommended by a friend who stayed here). It was a great choice. We had an Executive Suite on the 8th floor (room 862). The bedroom and parlor...More
Spent 4 nights at this hotel recently. Perfect location for visiting New Orleans, walking distance to everything. The carousel bar is a gem, you need to be fast to get a seat but great fun when you do. Excellent music onsite and great service. The...More
Our family frequently visits New Orleans. We have had excellent accommodations on all of our past visits but decided to give Hotel Monteleone a try because we recently became iPrefer members. We booked two rooms and expected a luxury experience. The hotel lobby is beautiful...More
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Agreed with Eddie's feedback. No river view and very quiet if you are at the back of hotel. I just stayed for 4 nights on the 4th floor in a room with no view at the back. It was very quiet (and who is going to stay in his/her room when in NOLA??). Enjoy the hotel !!
