Staff was fantastic. Room comfortable and clean. Great view of the Mississippi River from 27th floor. Lobby and restaurant on 11th floor have wonderful views as well. Six of us plus two infants had brunch/lunch on Father's Day. Food was good, restaurant staff was extremely...More
Great location and great service from the valet to the concierge and front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant. Only smiles and good vibes. Clean room, great view and delicious breakfast. An awesome hotel, keep up the good work!
Was in the Westin 2 weeks for a meeting. Nice rooms, maybe getting close to some updating but still nice, great view of the river, Great Staff for hotel desk, meeting room, restaurant/food service and especially bar staff.
Stayed here for a convention in room 2110. We had a large room with incredible views of the river. Beds are comfortable, great air conditioning, large screen tv, refrigerator, Starbucks coffee, fluorescent backlit bathroom mirror, rain shower bath as well as good size bathroom. The...More
Great location, average property, fantastic staff. Gina was welcoming and accommodating at check in. Within walking distance of benigts, across the street from the casino, and stumbling distance to all the debauchery of borubon.More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Definitely contact the hotel for rules, but from a practicality standpoint I wouldn't think this hotel would be all that good for a dog. The hotel is stacked on top of a parking ramp with the lobby being several floors off ground. You need to transfer elevators at the lobby level to get from your room to the ground. Therefore, it would be a good bit of messing around to take the dog for a walk. On the plus side, it is near the river walk and park, so there is somewhere to go.
