Although our stay was cut short because of renovation problems, I would say this hotel was very good. The rooms were very spacious with lots of cupboards and areas to hang things. A refrigerator and microwave were provided. There were apples in the lobby as well as water. It was in a very convenient location, close to the tram lines....

My stay was for 2 nights here and it was a really good stay. It was clean, had a small kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. A short walk to the nearby French Quaters and Bourbon Street. Would definitely stay here again if I was in New Orleans again.

We had to be moved to a different hotel. Management was not very clear about the reason. I thought it was because of their problematic renovation. Though we welcomed a better alternative than what we found at the 504. Hotel room was dirty and very dated. Our "grand" room was not grand at all. Very tightly fitting three full beds....

We picked this hotel as a great deal within a Corp discount website. hotel there was sold at 277 a night party of 3 people. Hotel rate was 350 by phone and around 310-320 in other booking engines. We got there to learn the hotel was under construction work (2nd floor and entrance being renovated) when we called the hotel...

I had a reservation at this hotel for April 25th to 29 2017. Today I emailed them to request early check in and was shocked at response The Email from the asst. General manager informed me that the hotel was closing for renovation and the safety of it's guests from March 16 to sometime in September 2017. Had I not...

I spent a night here in February, and I had a great experience. The staff were friendly and held on to my luggage the day after before my flight. My room was quiet and well-furnished, and the room had an excellent view to the west. It is a short walk from Bourbon Street and right on Canal Street, so you...

Stayed February 24&25. Had a very pleasant stay at hotel 504. Staff was friendly and helpful. Got some great advice from Michel who took great care of us and booked our trip on the steamboat for us. Gave us great directions and told us best places to eat. Room was fine, not a new hotel but definitely not dirty or...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
