First time in New Orleans, great spot, within walking distance to everything in French Quarter. Very clean room, we felt breakfast was sub-par for type of hotel. Fortunately there are lots of restaurants in the area.

Wonderful hotel, staff, and location. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each day. I would like to be able to purchase soft drinks during the day, but that is a minor inconvenience. We have stayed here before and find the price comparable to other hotels, but the breakfast buffet makes it a better value. The rooms are larger than other french...

Great hotel, beautiful and great location. Minutes from everything, and right around the corner from Burbon St. Breakfast was amazing. I will warn that I when I checked-in with my pre-paid hotel vouchers which I purchased direct from the companty was not honored until checkout, the clerk who checked us in did not know how to use the vouchers. By...

This was a perfect location to celebrate Mardi gras. The breakfast was great and the hotel gave us the French Quarter vibe that we were looking for. Location is right in the middle of all the action but safe and quiet.

This hotel is dripping with New Orleans atmosphere and Southern hospitality. It is just a block off Bourbon Street, yet quiet. It features a lovely courtyard where our group enjoyed the delicious breakfast (perfectly prepared bacon and pancakes!) daily and where we also convened to play games in the afternoon. The staff was gracious, even retrieving the last two scones...

Could not be happier with this hotel. More like a B & B in its ambiance & friendliness. Highly recommended. Though a few short steps off Bourbon street this hotel is quiet due to the beautiful interior courtyard upon which all rooms face.

Great location just off of Bourbon but still quiet. The hotel has a couple of nice courtyards on the 1st and 2nd floors which were fabulous. The courtyards made up for our rather small room. The spectacular March weather kept us in the courtyards even when we were taking a break from the craziness in the French Quarter.

Location: Truly could not be better. Situated between the middle of Royal Street, center of French Quarter art galleries & Bourbon Street, where late-night partying happens. Easy walk home from many nightclubs, but you don't hear the late-night noise from your room. Simply but elegantly decorated. Enough space but not overly roomy. Room: All 4 of us (girls' trip) agreed...

The service was incredible!! Everyone was very genuine. The location of the hotel was perfect; everything was walking distance. The room was beautiful, I had a fantastic sleep every night. The best part I enjoyed about the hotel was the view from the entrance of our room; stunning!! I admired everything about the Hotel Mazarin. Therefore, there is nothing negative...

Perfect location and nice hotel with nice breakfast buffet. Just beware of which room you get as the premium king with balcony we got was right near Bourbon Street and a staircase. I was up the whole night! The front desk was nice enough to move us to another room in a quiet section of the hotel but packing and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
