Excellent choice great location. A wonderful time spent in New Orleans. Take advantages of the walking tours. Highly recommend them and in close proximity to hotel. Hotel is very close to all activities and the best part of bourbon street.

I was impressed with several things at the Hotel Mazarin: the excellent and friendly attention of the the entire staff; large, comfortable, clean, room with free wifi; location just steps from Bourbon Street; amazing quiet so close to the heart of the Quarter; nice and plentiful breakfast items; and coupons for a free drink! The first room we were assigned...

After much research I decided to stay at Hotel Mazarin because of its perfect French Quarter location, amenities (wi-fi, free breakfast, happy hour at the bar), and the reasonable rate per night. I requested a quiet deluxe king off of a courtyard, away from the madness of Bourbon St. I was astounded at the quality and beauty of the room--brilliant...

This was a beautiful hotel and the location can't be beat. 50 steps from Bourbon Street. Caution--when requesting a courtyard/balcony room. When we were there (Mid Jan 2016) they had a huge white tent covering the courtyard. The view from the 3rd and 4th floors were of the top of the white tent, not the courtyard. Since we requested courtyard/balcony...

Great location. Excellent staff. Don't sleep through the wonderful breakfast. Ride the pedi-cabs back to this hotel from anywhere you walk. Great end to a day of exploring. Just wish there was a tub in the room.

Great location and friendly staff. The coupons for drinks at the 21st Amendment were a pleasant surprise. Would readily recommend to friends. The only negative was road construction at the main entrance.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
