We like the Prince Conti because it is convenient to drive to and the French Quarter location is great. Although the bathroom was small, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Our heat was not working during a cold spell, but they repaired it within an hour. The biggest plus for us is The Bombay Club, a great classy...

The Prince Conti is a beautiful old hotel. It's just a couple of blocks off Bourbon Street and makes a great central location for trips to the Aquarium and Jackson Square. We couldn't have been happier with the service and the accommodations. This was my 2nd time staying here and I will definitely stay again.

You start with a sharp turn into the valet parking ($34) - safe and secure. Well worth the price - free and quick in and out out. You are 3 steps from the check in desk - great for bad weather or folks that don't have a lot of steps left. Elevator is a few steps away. Rooms are spacious...

It was my first visit to NOLA and I was glad to have booked Prince Conti. It was close to everything that I wanted to see and a streetcar away from things that were further out. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Conti Cafe had delicious food and you can use a 10% coupon as a guest of the...

The Prince Conti Hotel was in a perfect location. One block from Bourbon St. it was just far enough that we did not have to hear the mayhem and close enough when we wanted to engage in the mayhem. The bed was a king size and was comfortable. We chose not to have any room cleaning while we were there...

This hotel is right off Bourbon Street, so it is close to it all, and it is quiet for the location. The hotel has free Wi-Fi, and for a historic building, the rooms are big enough. They offer valet parking for $35 a day, or parking on your own. It is a small price to pay, I felt, for keeping...

We've stayed here a total of three times in the last few years. It's a smaller hotel near Bourbon street, but far enough away to be quiet. The rooms are average sized and furnished nicely, but not lavishly. There's one elevator available for everyone and rooms away from street don't have a view. Has average quality cafe on site for...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
