Were here for a convention which is in convenient walking distance from hotel. The lobby and room were perfectly clean when we got there. Breakfast buffet is complete with something for everyone. We used streetcar and Uber for our transportation.
I was excited to stay here because there were four of us and the hotel offered a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom accommodation. The room was disgusting, the mildew aroma was awful. Appliances were in terrible shape. Come to find out this residence inn purchased an...More

Cannot say enough good about the breakfast buffet! Clean, beautifully laid out, lots a yummy food for all tastes! The staff is courteous, polite and so very helpful! Worth visiting for the breakfast alone.
The price was high due to the Saints versus Patriots game that weekend as well as the cruise ship crowds (it's very close to the port). This was the last room in town under $300. The room was large and had a bedroom as well...More

Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and
glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.

You are quite a distance from the bus or trolley lines. It is about four blocks away, but the blocks are long. We used Uber to go up to Canal street and the outlet mall. Tulane is definitely a Uber ride away. I am not sure of the exact distance but it is not located in the warehouse district. I spoke with one of the guys on the phone that did the three wheel bike ride which would give a really good tour of the French quarters. He said it was 80.00 per hour. There was also a hop on hop off tour service, but we did not use it. It appeared to be a struggle for my 80 and 81 year old travelers.
