Tulane campus visitors that we work with regularly stay at Park View and are always delighted by the friendly service, charming historic significance of the property, and proximity to Audubon Park, the streetcar, and campus. Thank you Liz and staff!

Having met the owner, a friend of a friend, I decided to book this for my brother and his wife during Jazz Fest. They could not have been more pleased. I spent time with them at Park View. I was so impressed by the attentive and helpful staff. They really went above and beyond. The property is beautifully decorated and...

The owner of the Park View Guest House is a life long resident of New Orleans and she and her staff embody the very essence of southern hospitality! My husband and I gave a two night stay at the Parkview Guest House for his cousin and her husband for a wedding gift. The staff was so accommodating and let us in early to deliver champagne and goodies to their room for when they arrived that night. They said they had a wonderful weekend at the Guest House before...

Park View has THE nicest and most professional staff! And the architecture is amazing!! It's totally VIctorian and well restored. NOLA (as the locals say) at it's best! The adjacent Audubon Park is magnificent. Tulane and Loyola Universities are right across the street. And the neighbors are really nice, too!

The Park View Guest House was our choice for a group of ladies, some from out of town and some in town for a "Staycation" The house is on St. Charles Avenue which in itself is beautiful and an easy way to get around on the streetcar. The house is also on the side of Audubon Park and we took...

WE stay in NOLA several times a year and have used the Park View on several occasions since 2009. Some stays were pleasant and uneventful, but two recent experiences have made us strike this place off our list. Last year, we were placed in a small room on the first floor. My wife woke up the first morning with bed...

I must say that when I first saw this gentleman's review I panicked, but then I realized that it would be clear to any discerning traveler that this entire review is a fabrication from start to finish. The only grain of truth in his story is that we did, in fact, keep his deposit. The reason for this is that...

We had a very good experience at the Park View. Breakfast selections were excellent, and the afternoon wine and cookies are a really nice touch. Grab a glass of wine and retire to the expansive covered porch to watch the trolleys go by. A very convenient location as you can take the trolley all of the way to the French...

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
