This is a newly renovated hotel with real charm to it. The lobby is real nice. The rooms were well-appointed; it may have been small but the high ceilings made it feel big nice layout with vanity outside of bathroom. It's easy to get off and on the freeway. A little hard to see the hotel sign, it's inside of...

We recently stayed here and, for the most part we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was great too. The breakfast was fine, the standard for this chain of hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful, though the room attendants were struggling to keep up and rooms were not cleaned much before 4 pm...

We totally loved the Fairfield Inn & Suites in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We arrived on a Friday and departed on a Sunday. It was PERFECT!!! My husband and I went to New Orleans for a quick get away with our best friends. They placed us in 2 separate rooms on the same floor. The rooms were very...

If you're looking for somewhere to stay with a family near the French quarter, this is your place. Each room sleeps up to 4 and comes with fridge and microwave. Breakfast is included. It's just a short walk to the French quarter and there are plenty of overnight parking garages very close by. We thought this was great value for...

What a find!!!! We love our room. We love the employees! We love the location! We love the valet parking and the close location to the French Quarters. Park your car and walk to the wonderful night life of the French Quarters. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Comfy beds and linens.

My party of 7 visited for four nights and were pleased with our room and the friendliness of the staff. Joshua on the front desk was very helpful on several occasions. Good breakfast bar to get you going for the day. Rates when we were there for the French Quarter Festival were reasonable for a tourist town like NOLA. This...

Thank you for sharing your feedback with our Tripadvisor family! We are happy to hear you found our location in the Central Business District/French Quarter Area to be convenient to the action but quiet for a good nights rest. We were 3 girls spending the weekend in New Orleans. By arrival the receptionist couldn't find my booking, and was not at all interested in helping me sorting that problem. That made our first impression really bad. The room was good, we had a king bed and a sofa we could make into a bed. It was clean and quiet,...

First visit for my mother and she had a great time. Mom just turned 72 so it was a blessing to be able to travel with her and allow her to gee the big easy. She was able to see the city, shop and get in some friendly time at the slot machines.

Love this hotel! The staff at the front desk was awesome! The breakfast was plentiful, hot, and delicious! Many options too!! The rooms were extremely clean! However, the cleaning staff did not understand English and therefore did not understand our requests. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious! One of the elevators was not working at times during...

Only stayed one night, but was so happy to have an amazing shower the next morning. The breakfast was fantastic (this was my first time in a Fairfield). And everyone was so helpful. Thanks for a positive experience!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
