… with balcony, a kitchenette with dishes and everything complete Plus a spacious bath. Breakfast is fine. The view from the balcony upon the Großglockner is breathtaking. The patron's friendliness heartwarming. Dog friendly the place is on top of it.

Stayed three nights and really enjoyed the quality of this pension. Great breakfast and friendly hosts made for an enjoyable stay. Chose room 103 which is one of the apartments. Only minor quibble is that it could use more lighting (especially kitchenette area). Very close to the alpine road access and good parking on site.

We stayed in seven people for one night arriving close to 23:30. A lady not speaking english opned the door. Fortunately one of us spoke german. Anyway - it was not a problem for us as well as for the lady. Making a reservation we had an impression that the hotel will be in lower standard as for 7 people...

LOCATION At the heart of the town, at a slightly higher elevation than the main road. Car access is via a small road by the cable car station. There is a staircase for foot access from the main road. Shops, banks, restaurants and some nice walks nearby. Short drive to the Grossglockner Pass. ROOM We had a room on the...

Appartment 22 was absolutelly the best. Spacious, comfortable, with a kitchen and an infrared sauna in the bathroom. Breakfast was great, with lots of choices. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The Pension is in the center of the village, right next to the gondola.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. It started out a bit bumpy as Sebastian had accidentally booked out our apartment to someone else. Not what you want to happen after driving 5 hours with kids 6 and 5. Nevertheless he quickly made up for it by putting us in an available room the first night but then moving us...

Great place to stay when "conquering" the Großglockner or the mountains around it - both summer and winter. Very fair price structure - especially the apartment with breakfast-option pays off if you're 4 persons or more. Nice breakfast buffet, clean & quiet rooms - and everything is smack next to the gondola taking you up the mountain. Come back here...

Our visit to Heiligenblut was in mid-May, which is early in the alpine spring season high up in the mountains -- we narrowly missed a snowstorm that closed off the Grossglockner Alpine Road over the pass. So it was a bit chilly weather, but our 3-night stay at the Pension Bergkristall was very warm, welcoming, and comfy. The owner and...

difficult to find because it's tucked away up a small hilly lane. the pension itself is very very good, clean comfy and warm ( the owner had put the heating on for us) parking is a little awkward for bikers due to the hill and adverse cambers. the owners are really helpful and were full of good advice for our...

This is a gem of a small hotel right in the centre of an exceptionally beautiful high altitude town in the shadow of the Grobglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. The hotel is impeccably kept with simple but beautifully functional wooden furnishings and floor. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom facilities excellent. Breakfast was very good and the...
