A very nice and classic Austrian styled family owned hotel. Good service, nice rooms, good restaurant, excellent location outside Heiligenblut and right next to the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, which we did the next day. Chalet Hotel Senger is classic in all ways and definitly worth the money!

My wife and I spent one night at the Chalet Hotel Senger in September 2016 after driving the Grossglockner. I am somewhat at a loss to capture how idyllic the place was. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a Mr. Senger (I did not realize it was still family owned) who carried our bags to our room. The room had... More

I had read the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor, and thought to give it a go. Booked a two nights stay, and now wish we had stayed longer! It seems to me that each room at the hotel has a view of the majestic mountains. More importantly, we had Rosemarie and Andreas to make our brief stay memorable. Rosemarie greeted us... More

I really don't know where to start with this hotel. We found it on a website of special hotels (there's only a couple in all of austria) and it lived up and exceeded all expectations. The location was one of the most beautiful of the trip (including berchtesgarden and hallstat and lake bled and venice!), you have an excellent view... More

This is a wonderful property with magnificent views of the might Grossglockner range. The rooms are comfortable and our balcony had a direct view of the mountains. Nothing like sipping schnapps on the balcony with that view or witnessing the sunrise. Host Andreas suggested a fantastic hike the next day to Grosskircheim / Grossblickner around 20 miles away from Heiligenblut... More

Rosemarie and Andreas are extremely personable and povide service above and beyond what typical hotel and restaurant owners do.  And, impotantly, they made us feel unrushed when we asked for recommendations and directions for hikes and routing alternatives to our next stop.  The old German decor is beautiful, and they pay a lot of attention to the details of fresh... I have been a returning summer visitor to Austria for 10 years now. Always looked for places close to nature with good service quality. Well: search no more, you found it! This place meets all expectations and beyond. Perfect location, two szeps away from hiking trails. Extreme attention to details: scents, lights, decoration, tidyness, the garden... etc. Fantastic staff (the... More

We were a group of 27 Norwegian motorcyclists staying here for three nights, using the chalet as a base for day-trips. We could not have chosen a better place to stay! All the way from the response to our request to the bills were payed, everything was perfect! We were offered safe parking but did not see the need to... More

I've been many times many places in Austria, but I can tell, this Hotel was the best in its category. Its a small, cosy family-run (actually a couple) hotel. The view from the hotel, the quality of service is almost as usual in Austria. But they pay a lot of attention for all the details which can make a correct... More

A fabulous overnight stay here. Such genuine caring people. Service, rooms, food and surrounds were all superb. A quiet spot with everything you need. A great view of Grossglockner from here too. Very traditionally, gorgeously Austrian chalet. Will definitely return.
