I came to Mayrhofen for the first time to snowboard. The area is amazing and with so many options of places to explore. The accommodation was really nice, I had a single room which was clean and fresh. The shower was lovely, hot and powerful. The bed was comfy and peaceful at night. I had half board so all my...

We stayed in the Gasthaus Egger (half-board, booked through Crystal), rather than the main Strass Hotel hotel itself. We arrived Saturday afternoon to a fairly chaotic scene in reception, which took a little time to be resolved. Upon checking in, we were advised that a minibus would collect us and take us to our lodgings. This arrived swiftly and carried...

Agree with the earlier review - great location, after that I am struggling. The owner smoked like a chimney and it pervaded to the guest rooms on the 3rd floor so much so even the stuff in my case I brought home 'clean' had to washed. We slept with the bathroom and bedroom window open all week, sadly they kept...

We stayed here for a week over new year and we cannot speak highly enough of this accommodation. Whilst it was quite basic it was extremely comfortable and cosy. The owners were lovely and very helpful. It is less than five minutes from the Penken gondola and has the advantage of being away from the main street and the noise...

Myself and my friend stayed at the Guesthaus Waldfeld Strass, Mayrhofen for one week in mid-February. Upon arrival we were greeted by a frosty faced woman and given a very sterile overview of the property. When we asked for a second set of keys she said no. We had seen on trip advisor the rooms were basic but a more...

A group of us stayed here in December 2014. We booked through Crystal Ski and went half board- taking our meals in Spa Hotel Strass. The food was quite good and the service was better. As for the guesthouse, the lady who runs it, greeted us on arrival and helped us settle into our rooms. She chatted to us each...

We stayed at the Strasse Guesthaus Waldfeld 28 Dec 13 - 4 Jan 14. The location is great - a couple of minutes walk to the Penken Gondola and the main Strass hotel building (for breakfast/dinner, swimming pool or spa) but away from the main street or in fact any road or noise, which we greatly appreciated during the New...

We had good all round view of mountains. We had a 3 mins walk to Peneken Cable Car & 10 mins walk to...

I stayed in the Landhaus Rochter through the Strass Hotel with my two sons, 20 and 15 during February. Things werent looking good at the start when I realised that the transfer time from Salzburg was so long, 3 hours. I arrived at the Strass Hotel where I checked in and as their restaurant I unexpectedly received a snack bag....
