The level of hotel service was excellent. The staff were attentive and organised - northing was too much trouble. Our rooms had comfortable beds, were warm and well presented. The general decor (whilst some would see it as dated) was pleasing and very Austrian, with a kitsch feel to it. The location was great; perfect for access to the main...

Situated handy for the first ski lift in the morning, warm welcome from all the staff, good simple food every night and cosy little bars on the ground floor and cellar, all slap bang in the middle of a charming little town on a frozen lake, what's not to love? Had a great week

Very plesent clean and welcoming hotel , close to the main ski lift , bus station and train station . Good food , buffet breakfast and good varied dinner menu , small busy ground floor bar and quieter basement cavern bar.

We stayed halfterm in February. There were 3 families of 4 staying in the family rooms. Facilities at the hotal and in the room were great. We were made to feel very welcome and had a table reserved for us so we could all be seated together. The meals which I know previous comments havent been complimentary were fine. There...

Exactly as expected and consistent with the the hotel website. The hotel owners and staff were all friendly and we had a lovely time. Location was great in the centre of Zel am Zee, but despite this there was no disturbance from noise. Food was good. Would happily recommend to anyone. The hotel is traditionally decorated and this may not...

Late booking as a solo skier. Old hotel full of features, very functional. Great staff and atmosphere, very helpful. Mix of nationalities and group sizes. 200m from city express Gondola, 100m from ski bus to Kaprun. Right in the centre of town in the pedestrian area. Never had to go too far to find anything. Super place.

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews about the food! All I can say is don't be! The food was really v nice and for many of you that have been skiing / snowboarding previously in Austria you will understand what I mean when I say the food on many occasions was just warm. Well not here it...

Just about to check out of this excellent hotel, after a week of very good hospitality. Our group booked through neilsons and weren't expecting the quality of food we got, wonderful salad bar, good choice of main course and great breakfast buffet. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. The cellar bar is very welcoming with Gunther's humour and good...
