The hotel has a very convenient location, it’s close to the tram line that brings you to Innsbruck for free. Then there is a bus that stops in front of the hotel every half hour, that brings you to the mutter alm Bahn in 5 minutes. A great family skiing resort, well suited for beginners. But the bus also brings you to all the other surrounding areas. The breakfast was great, but sometimes required faster refills, especially when it got busier. Mutters itself has a view nice restaurants, especially the one near the lift is excellent. The staffs friendly attitude was a great plus, they answered all questions we had. Then the sauna area was a nice extra, warming-up after a long day of snowboarding. All in all I can recommend the hotel, although it’s a little overpriced for the luxury your getting. Try to get in on a deal, and you’ll be guaranteed a nice stay. …
The Sporthotel location was a nice change from Innsbruck. Our suite was old and in need of updating but the view from the balcony with the alps and church steeple as backdrops created a stunning view, particularly at sunset. We loved the chiming of the bells. Breakfast was excellent. Ernest cooked eggs and bacon to perfection. Dinner was a bit disappointing. Entree selections were limited to two choices with our package and were on the bland side. Service was excellent. Aliosa, the young gentleman at the front desk, was particularly welcoming and went out of his way to help us with our every need.
Stayed here at the instance of my husband how had stayed in the hotel in 1975 . I was very pleased - rooms clean and well kept , copious amounts of hot water . Breakfast great - and amazing value . We will stay again as it’s quiet nice being away from Innsbruck .
Sited above Innsbruck, but on metro line this family-run hotel is charming, provides excellent rooms, quality breakfasts, and even discounts to some lifts. Staff are friendly, rooms clean and comfortable.
I chose this hotel as it had been rated well, however I was extremely disappointed by the tired decor and the aged furniture in the rooms. Our curtains didn't even cover the windows! I don't think it would be too much to expect to freshen the rooms with some new magnolia paint on the walls and cream/white blinds to bring it into the modern era. We found the beds to be uncomfortable and also in need of updating. The bathroom was OK, good water pressure, but again, extremely aged; I would struggle to consider this a 3* property unfortunately. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
