This hotel is, as the name suggests, right in the middle of Sölden. The reception staff were very helpful at check in. The bedrooms and bathrooms were modern and very restful with Nespresso machines and replenished capsules. The restaurant was wonderful for breakfast and dinner. A wonderful salad bar followed by 7 courses. There is now also a Michelin starred restaurant but we didn’t try this on this stay. There are two spa areas, the most modern one is on the higher floors with a beautiful pool and outdoors whirlpool. There are saunas with beautiful views. This one is clothed and also allows children. On the lower floors there is the original spa which is “ textile free” and adults only. Both have sauna rituals. We used both every day. We also had fabulous massages with Johanna and a brilliant facial with Anna. For skiers there is an incredible minibus service which takes you and picks you up from any ski location in Sölden. An excellent stay and would highly recommend .

Pros: Excellent food, very extensive buffets, top service, many saunas, always quiet, infinity pool with a view of the mountains, beautiful rooms, everything very clean.
Cons: Located next to a church where the church bells ring 58 times (LITERALLY) at 6am. We woke up every morning at 6am and couldn't sleep after that. Furthermore, the room is always 21 degrees, the heater cannot be set lower than 19 degrees, but it remains 21 degrees and with the window open the heater only works harder. Furthermore, no double blanket available, only two separate single blankets for the separate 2 mattresses on the king-size bed. Sleeping is therefore a bit less in Das Centraal.

The Hotel Central really stands out and makes a lot of things even better than other houses in this category! But especially the service and food are outstanding!
Unfortunately, many visitors are not aware of the normal sauna rules. These should be posted urgently and perhaps explained at check-in. Because taking drinks into the sauna infusion and entering the sauna during the infusion are absolute no-gos. Here, guests from England and Asian seem to be completely ignorant, which has certainly partly taken away the pleasures of the infusion. This sit very unfortunate, because the wellness areas (new on the 5th floor and older part on the basement) are very nicely made.
But I think with notice of the rules and explanation that would be solvable. But if you get the loud, sauna-ignorant and sometimes disturbing crowd avoided (chances in the basement are greater) then you can also relax well in the wellness area. The hotel probably still has to find its way.
And yet the entire house is always trying to make a great stay possible for the guest. Extremely great service and outstanding food (especially with the evening menu). Serh good wine list! Good gyms and great ski storage. So this house can only be highly recommended. A pointed house that sixh can certainly measure with the best houses in St.Moritz. Thank you for your effort and the great days. There will certainly be a fourth visit to your house. I'm always very happy that mine. Wish of the same room and same table for food was met!
Greetings SG

Unfortunately, we are quite disappointed. In our opinion, the hotel is not at all a 5-star hotel as we are used to. But the positives first: the rooms have been newly designed and are very nice, spacious and stylish. The new sauna and outdoor pool area is also very well done and attractive. The only unusual thing is that they call it a textile sauna, so you have to wear swimwear. Because of the many international guests, they say. Oh well, OK. There are also naked saunas in the old sauna area. So in short, the newly designed areas are impressive. Good infusions. Good massages. Check-in as new guests was very bumpy, few explanations, the room was only ready at 3 p.m. even though we arrived early. Not very flexible, the comment that the mini bar was not included was definitely important, other things were not explained, it's not that important. Let's get to the cuisine: We ate in the gourmet restaurant once, the quality and service were very good, a lovely, quiet atmosphere, beautiful presentation, beautiful crockery, etc. However, the 4-course menu took over 3 1/2 hours, which is too long and could be shortened by an hour. What has nothing to do with 5-star cuisine, however, is the half-board in the main restaurant. Not imaginative, the fish was repeatedly too salty, the presentation was relatively unloving. No real surprises for the palate, more of a normal average in our opinion. Breakfast was OK, but here too, the special something that you have seen in other 5-star hotels is somehow missing. The buffet always looked chaotic at some point. Now that there is a gourmet restaurant in the hotel, this standard must at least be reflected a little in the half-board! The absolute disappointment: the aperitif snacks at the bar were the same every evening, no variety, no ideas, totally unimaginative. There are so many different options... even the fridge in the wellness area downstairs leaves a lot to be desired. Can't you do more to please the eye instead of carelessly stuffing old dried fruit into a plastic jar? Vegetable sticks, fruit skewers, dips, small chia puddings, or whatever. The service in all areas also needs to be much better trained. This is now a general problem, but it's simply not acceptable to keep having to pay more and more money for increasingly poor service and a declining standard. By the way, it would be much cozier if the fireplace in front of the bar was turned on in the evening instead of just putting a candle in it. A little more attention to detail is simply lacking in every corner, somehow the soul is missing in this house. It has the potential, but there just has to be more!

Best hotel in Soelden by far. Everything is in top order, food, drinks and spa. A designated shuttle can take you to the slopes for skiing, which is ever so handy and the staff are amazing. Alexander (the tall one) was working in the fondue restaurant when we were inside there, what a great guy. Loved his attitude and the way he treated everyone. Promotion for him! The spa is amazing, Peters sauna sessions at 5:30pm are so good - must try. For the meals in their restaurant, you are charged 7 euros for bottled water - get tal water and its the same and you save money. There is nothing to complain about for this place, it is a great place to stay and has amazing facilities.

We stayed at the Central for 4 nights and loved it. We had a newly renovated junior suite with our own sauna and felt very comfortable there. The suite was beautifully furnished with a great view of the river. The newly renovated spa area with a great infinity pool on the top floor and the new gym with a view of the Gigijoch cable car are also really fun. We booked half board. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners in the main restaurant, which were served as a 4-course menu, were varied and very good. We had dinner in the gourmet restaurant Ötztaler Stubn and it was a culinary explosion of taste. Classic Austrian cuisine creatively packaged. Simply a great experience. The location of the hotel is also very good. Thanks to the hotel shuttle, which is actually always running, you can get to both gondola stations in just a few minutes and use the great ski area. The great staff deserves special mention! From housekeeping to reception, service staff in the restaurants: everyone is highly motivated, very friendly and warm. Simply great! Overall, a very nice stay! We would love to come back.

First visit to Solden and Das Central and it hopefully won’t be the last. We had one of the rustic chalet style rooms which was massive and had everything we could have wanted in a hotel room. Loads of hanging and drawer space, giant tv, large balcony above the main entrance to the hotel and a lovely bathroom complete with toiletries and a set of scales (which were banished to a corner of the room!!) The only fault I could pick would be that the carpet was stained and could do with a shampooing. The standard of the food in the main restaurant was incredible (and maybe the reason the bathroom scales were not used!) we couldn’t find fault with a single plate throughout the whole week. The restaurant staff were all good but special mention should go to David who was pretty much the perfect waiter, knowledgeable, attentive but not pushy and a generally nice guy. The shuttle buses to run you to and from the two cable cars are a real bonus and always seemed to be just where you needed them at the right time. Fair to say this was one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in and would love to come back.

This is indeed a "luxury" hotel that is clearly owned and run by fastidious owners that understand the concept of a premium guest experience. We visited over the Christmas period and from check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. The hotel is immaculately maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful, the facilites are excellent and the food is fantastic! Lastly, the Spa..Oh, the spa! The new spa is nothing short of incredible. It is stunning in every respect and one of the best Spa's I have ever been to. After a day's ski-ing, this is exactly what you need and the spa is packed with premium experiences in all the right measures. The owners have clearly invested a significant amount of money to further enhance their hotel and it has 100% worked. If you want to ski/bike in Austria and fancy Solden, this is the place to go and we hope to return. Thank you to the owners and all the staff at Das Central for making our 2023 Christmas so special!

What can I say...simply gorgeous!! Spacious and clean rooms, spa with a wide choice of saunas and the presence of the sauna master who gives that extra touch. Restaurant that offers refined and special dishes, both vegetarian and meat-based, every day. The breakfasts are also good with many types of sweet and savory dishes and the possibility of drinking a different juice every day. All the staff were extremely courteous and attentive to customer requests. A special thank you to the room manager Sandra, simply priceless!! His professionalism and courtesy are unique. The hotel is very close to the ski lifts and the shops and restaurants in the centre. I can't find a single negative note, everything was fantastic, we definitely recommend it to everyone and we'll stay there

We had a great time at this hotel. Service was outstanding and everything ran like clockwork.
Our room was quite old fashioned, but it was very clean and comfortable. I think the hotel is refurbishing these rooms. You can choose the room style / category when booking. We should have opted for the contemporary rooms, as these are more to our taste, but we’ll know for next time. Our teens moaned about the Wi-Fi connectivity, but it was ok for us.
We particularly enjoyed the food, which was varied and plentiful. Lots of choice at breakfast, and many healthy options, including the juicer. Dinner was a treat, with 5 courses fine dining every night. There were additional options and my son (the philistine) opted for Wiener Schnizel and chips every night.
We went to the Wellness area every day after skiing. Very clean and never felt too busy. I also had a fantastic massage in the spa one day.
The ski rooms and shuttle buses took all the stress away at the beginning / end of each day. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels where the boot room is packed and sweaty - not at Das Central. And we never had to wait for a shuttle bus. For those renting skis, there is an Intersport at the end of the road (less than 60 seconds walk).
We will return next year. Thanks for a fab holiday!
