Pleasant stay for jumping off point for hiking in Joshua Tree park. Standard hotel, but fits the bill for all basic needs. The beds are great for a good night's sleep. Free breakfast in the morning is supposed to be getting a bit more healthy,...More

Palm Springs is about a 35 to 40 minute drive from Twentynine Palms and Indio is about a 45 minute drive from Twentynine Palms. As far as public transportation, I believe there is limited bus service between the cities. The Fairfield in Twentynine Palms does not have limo service. Taxi service between the cities I would believe is pretty expensive. Car rental facilities at the Palm Springs airport is available and depending on the time of the year not too unreasonable.I would not stay in Twentynine Palms without my own or rented vehicle. You might check with the hotel about the bus service between the 3 cities
