This resort is a real gem. My two adult sons and I (Dad) stayed in a double floor suite with LR with cable TV and Internet access, full kitchen and balcony above, 2 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, laundry for less than $120/night. The grounds are very...More
Stayed here last week of August in a two bedroom condo. Quite area with lush foliage, nice swimming pools & very helpful staff. From the time we checked in till we departed we completely enjoyed our stay . Unbelievable value for the price.
We stayed at this resort for 11 nights from August 26-September 6 and had a very positive experience. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant to work with. Our first night we were in a downstairs condo, and heard the guests above us walking...More

hi we are Australian so also not used to driving on the "wrong"side. We rented a car from Alamo they have a shuttle service from the airport to their office 5 mins. The prices were reasonable and we stayed on the island for a week. We used the car to visit the volcano area where we stayed for a few days before staying in kona.
My husband got used to the driving quite quickly especially with me nagging from the passenger seat. The Big Island is fascinating and diverse so great to have a car. ( unless you just want to sit on the beach or by the pool and relax)
