Just returned from our week at the Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Resort in Kona/Kailua.
For starters, the people at the front desk are top notch. They could not be friendlier or more helpful. A huge shout out to ROD. He went above and beyond. Thanks! Also...More
I have been trying to get my husband to buy a timeshare for years... it’s always NO! My wonderful Mother in Law helped us get a week here. Both my husband and I fell in love with this property so we went to their presentation...More
First time in Kona, loved it. Very laid back and friendly resort town. No hussle and bussle like bigger places.

I have played several courses. Mauna Loa Golf Club was a good track. Makani Golf Club - formerly Big Island Country Club was a fun course with an island green that with the prevailing wind can be hard. Waikoloa Village Golf Club is a fair course that fits most players game. You can rent clubs at all of these courses along with balls and tees. Not sure about shoes. I play in sandals all the time and they pack easy. The ocean courses are a little windy which makes play a little harder.

I just stayed at the resort in unit 72A. You can somewhat see the ocean from the lanai since this unit sits on the upper hill. It’s not ideal, but it does provide some better views of the scenery behind the resort and a slight ocean view between units.
