This was our second time at Hale Maluhia and we enjoyed it very much. We stayed in the Makua room. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom could use a bit of updating but the room was clean and comfortable. The hosts and staff...More

We stayed in the Banyan Cottage for 4 nights and did not see the other sleeping rooms. The Cottage was spacious and had more than adequate furnishings, appliances, and housewares. The breakfasts were enjoyable and ample. The location was reasonably convenient, as was the parking....More

We stayed in the Banyan Cottage for 4 days. Cottage was a bit aged, but was clean or so we thought. The first night we heard the pitter patter of feet in the room and mentioned it during breakfast with our host Ken. He mentioned...More

We were very surprised this place got a high rating on TripAdvisor although the more recent reviews are accurate. It definitely is in need of renovation and repair. Very uncomfortable beds and noisy! Hosts really don't seem concerned about poor reviews and don't seem to...More

The complex does have nice landscaping but building & rooms need repairs, but this did not really affect our stay. While our room was what we expected (bed needs replacing which I believe is going to happen after we mentioned it) & quite well appointed,...More

It has been a long time since I stayed there but the owner/operator is pretty true to his words. He tries hard in a tough environment (natural) to keep it "clean". Nope, it will likely never be like the Resorts at Kukio, etc. I have stayed in both. You get where ya go. This spot is not for all, so be careful and considerate if you do go. As has been said, there is a lot of aloha here so go with the flow. Enjoy it so.
