We enjoyed the scenic train ride from Anchorage to Seward and then the free bus ride to the Moby Dick Hostel. Glad to have a reservation since they had no vacancies and it was Labor Day weekend. Great location is near the Kenai Fjord National Park and many excursions.

My mom and I stayed in the dormitory style beds. It was nice and quiet. Everyone was respectful of each other and quiet hours. The owners were friendly and helpful. We had a nice spot to park our car. The location was right in the middle of it all. They charge $1 for towel rental, but it's only $1, not...

I spent a few days in this very comfortable small hostel. I felt like at home. Kitchen well equiped, confortable dormitory, very clean, free parking useful travel books and free wifi. The managers are very friendly and help me to book amazing activities with good discount. They also let me use the facilities after the check-out and keep my material...

I stayed at the hostel for 3 nights in the dorm. It's small but clean and comfortable. The dorm beds are just $25 per night, and it's $1 to rent a towel. It's a very cute place, the people are very friendly and at least while we were there, everyone was very respectful of each others' space and were mindful...

thanks to Susanne who was constantly helping me with my queries before I arrived in Seward. what a beautiful and comfy hostel if you compare with the one I stayed in anchorage. good location. All things in Seward is one most expensive within the whole States so Moby dick is relatively cheap. I find the hostel friendly and clean and...

I was backpacking through Alaska and stayed at Seward for few days. Glad I chose Moby Dick Hostel for the stay. It is 10-15 mins walk from the harbor where one takes the glacier cruises. Harbor area has some restaurants. There are more restaurants (plus the Sealife Center) on the other side of the hostel too, which are again not...

this was not a bad place to stay as far as hostels go - the staff/owners seemed a bit stressed every time i encountered them, which automatically made me feel slightly less at ease. many of the other guests were quite noisy and a couple of the guests who shared my dorm-style room were backpackers who obviously hadn't bathed in...

We really enjoyed staying here and excellent value at $25 each, sharing a 6 bunk room. Our request for a lower bunk (at 65 and 67 years old) was provided. Free wi fi and a well equipped kitchen with balcony. As we are travelling with hand luggage only, we appreciated the clean sheets and pillow case provided with a duvet...

When I am traveling with friends, this is my go-to in Seward. The hotels are very expensive in the summer and this is a deal whether you stay in the dorms or private room, which I have stayed in both. There is a nice kitchen area and small common room. The bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade, but for the...

We were in the house down the street from the main hostel, that being said good points and bad points. There was no coffee provide here( there was some instant in the window seal that was as hard as the salt. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the second night we did end up having the whole place to...
