I booked the Sleeper room for one night through AirBnB as everything else was booked. The owner told me they'd let me know if I could check in early or could leave my bags before the 4 pm check in. My train arrived at 11 I had 5 hrs with my bags and nowhere to leave them. The owner never got back to me, after a reminder too. I would have made alternate arrangements if I knew sooner it was not a possibility. Since they operate a little cafe right next to the place, I came there and asked the staff if I could leave a bag. He looked at me with suspicion and told me to leave the bags in the storage room and told me twice to not attempt to walk into the storage room without asking the staff. I did not intend to do it anyway, and this kind of treatment was unnecessary when I am paying over $200 for a night. At 4:30 PM when I returned to finally check in, the cafe was closed and the code I was given did not work. I called the owner, who seemed to be upset with my calling (although it said in the instructions to call him if needed), asked me what color door I was trying to use the code for and it turned out it was the wrong door. Nowhere in my instructions the color of the door was mentioned and the two entrances have the same address posted above them. When I told him that I still needed to get into the cafe to get my bags he got even more upset. When he came over he treated me like nuisance. I am sorry I stayed here and will never consider doing it again.

Sauerdough Lodging is located in the Seward business district. Each guest has a $5 coupon for “The Sea Bean,” a super cute cafe down stairs. You also get free access to the gym across the street. My family of four stayed in the “Days End” Apartment, which has a queen sized bed and pull out couch. A vintage building with modern renovations. Kitchen was fully equipped with plates, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, salt, pepper and oil. Owners respond super quickly over text or call if you need anything. TV included Netflix and Amazon prime video if you signed in with your own account but we had trouble doing so. No check in desk/office, just punch in the given access codes. A short drive to the harbor, near local restaurants and shops, a block away from the sea life center. Easy to find nearby parking. Would stay again :)

Stayed here with my son and daughter for a few nights. It's in a perfect location in the center of town. Steps away from great restaurants, bars, shops and the water. It's a historic building that is full of character. The apartment was large, nicely decorated, full equipped kitchen, and very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here with my daughter and Son in Law for three nights in mid-August. It was furnished nicely, clean and the owners were very nice to work with. It is located right in the middle of shopping, restaurants, nightlife and the Sea Life Center is a block or two down the road. We walked everywhere from here except the harbor which is just a few blocks down the street. There is a cafe downstairs that is really great. Do not skip it is you stay anywhere in the area.

Great apartment in downtown Seward with all the extras like dishes, kitchen, separate bedroom, tea kettle & dining table. Convenient to restaurants & shops. Shower is a little tricky, but otherwise it’s a charming, old building with modern renovations. Very comfortable place to relax at the end of a long kayaking or hiking day. Would definitely stay here again.
