As we pulled up to the jetty, after a half an hour ride in a tinny from Seward, a group of guests greeted us..."welcome to heaven" they said, and as we looked around at our sublime surroundings, I think they just might be right. The water was an amazing shade of blue/green and perfectly clear, the yurts are all tucked...

This place is magical. It is like glamping but completely unique and an experience of a life time. The owner will pick you up from J dock. You take a water taxi to the orca island. Your cabin is a beautiful well furnished cozy yurt. The place is beautifully kept. Activities involve fishing [ although no luck ] kayaking to...

Glamping at it's finest. Everything is explained and safety is preeminent. Boat out and back is on time. Comfortable and clean yurts. Hot water, solar electric, spectacular views, fun equipment for free excursions and a gift shop to buy Susan's beautiful paintings of their Orca Island paradise.

Our stay at Orca Island Cabins was the highlight of our trip to Alaska. We planned to stay for one night and after staying in Seward before the cabins, we decided we were looking for a more remote experience and changed our reservation to stay for two nights. Seward was fine, but not what we were looking for in our...

I spent a night there with my girlfriend and her friends. This is an amazing place, it has row boats, kayaks, fishing poles, the yurts are fully equipped, the bathroom is awesome and the views are amazing. They have a covered and an uncovered deck. Whatever I said here can't describe this place. A family owned and operated. A must...

While celebrating our 20 year anniversary, my husband and I capped off a two week trip to Alaska with a three day stay to Orca Island. The owners, their sons and daughter in law were friendly, competent and responded quickly to questions. We were picked up on time at the Seward docks and enjoyed a sunny boat ride out to...

Glad you enjoyed your stay at the island despite the rain you experienced. Being prepared with good gear for inclement weather is important in Alaska and the wildlife will be there come rain or shine. We wish you continued happy travels.

Despite the rain, we had a phenomenal time. There is something about these cabins and surroundings that feels like a good dream. From hiking to kayaking to a magnificent waterfall to animal sightings to paddle boarding to fishing and cooking our fish for lunch we enjoyed every moment. Glamping at its finest.

Glad you were so active and enjoyed the many activities that we offer at the cabins. Also, we are happy that the stretch of rain you encountered during your stay did not stop you from enjoying your glamping experience. Thanks for visiting with us.

My husband and I with our two children (12 & 9) had the pleasure to stay at Orca Island two nights and three days. Words can not describe the beauty and nature this magical island offers. We hiked, kayaked, fished and most importantly completely relaxed. Susan, Dennis, Simon and Yen are impeccable hosts. I know we will be back to...

What a stunning, magical place. Dennis, Susan and family have created a incredibly special place in their tiny nook within Resurrection Bay, and we are lucky that they share this with us. Stress melts away the moment you step onto the dock at the cabins. The views and wildlife you experience are spectacular - we were lucky to see otters...

The setting was ideal for a getaway - we hiked, paddleboarded, kayaked and took long afternoon naps. A whale breached 30 feet from our kayak one evening - the memory of a lifetime. The perfect combination of comfort and connection to the out-of-doors. Our hosts were helpful but not overbearing - you could really feel alone but have the security...
