It was an Absolutely Fantastic Experience on the boat with Joe and his kayak guide Dakota! Captain Joe is one of the nicest people we have ever met. You can tell he loves Alaska and loves showing people the beauty and nature of Alaska. We had the best day and cannot wait to return next summer! Thank you, Joe!

** Warning may be a little lengthy** I met Joe Allen in 2004 on our first of many trips to Alaska while renting his cabin. Anytime we would be in Seward, it was without hesitation we knew we would stay at his cabin and catch up with Joe. There's many reviews, including mine, about Joe and what a great and...

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Joe Allens cabin as well as spending all day on his boat. First the cabin, Joe built this cabin himself and it has everything that you would need. There is a small fridge, coffee pot, microwave and a grill outside that you can use. It sits in a private setting...

We used Joe for to water taxi out our fishing kayaks into Kenai fjords national park. Fantastic guy and great to do business with! This water taxi allows people access to thousands of acres of water and seems to be endless glaciers. Absolutely amazing!! Will use Joe again on our next trip!

August 12 has been etched in my mind for months. This is the date I've been looking forward to more than any other. We're going kayaking with Joe Allen, Allen's Alaska Adventure, My Adventure! I've told everyone about it, I've dreamed about, I've read all his glowing reviews! But mother nature had other plans. I'd been in contact with Joe...

We did not stay at Joe's cabin but booked a day on his boat. And what a day it was!!! My husband and I were joined by our 3 girls (17yr, 15yr, and 13yr) for a great day on the water. Joe took us whale watching, arranged for kayaks, and even grilled dinner for us while we were beach combing....

It was an Absolutely Fantastic Experience out in the Kenai Fjords NP with Joe and his kayak guide Dakota! A High Quality Trip with great views of the glaciers, Orca, Humpbacks, Otters, and Sea Lions; wonderful paddling in the Fjords; and a well informed running narrative of the history, geology, myths, and stories of the area by these two salty...

We spent 18 days in Alaska and the first 5 were staying in Joe's cabin and taking a boat/kayak tour with Joe to Aialik Glacier and Pederson Glacier. I can't say enough about Joe's hospitality. One of the hardest things about Alaska is finding the real thing and not a tour made up for cruise ship passengers. If you want...

We did not stay in Joe's cabin, however, the other couple who went kayaking with us did stay in his cabin and said it was great! Our family of four and this couple spent an amazing 15 hour day out on Joe's boat! I will begin with the reason that we chose Joe Allen over other kayak tour companies. All...

The idea of a trip to Alaska usually begins with some dominant idea that piques the curiosity. Adventure! Nature! Wildlife! For some, these ideas coalesce into more tangible activities- halibut fishing, bear viewing, sea kayaking, hiking. Alaska is a big state, so big that people down here in the Lower 48 forget sometimes and think of it as a different...
