The Harbor 360 Hotel was a big disappointment. I can’t believe it is rated #1 on TripAdvisor. Our king harbor view room was at one end of the first floor (rooms 135-142). While it does have harbor views the windows look on to the walkway in front of the harbor, with endless foot traffic crossing in front of the window when the day tour boats are boarding and disembarking. To reach the room you have to walk past all the service areas of the hotel, laundry, maintenance and so forth. The first floor hallway on the other side of reception looks much more civilized with just rooms and the business center. The room itself reeked of cigarette smoke and the furniture was dingy and dated. The bathroom is sizable but the shower needs recaulking. Judging from website photos some of the rooms have been updated. This one definitely had not. The second issue was the parking. The hotel does not have enough spaces for both the hotel guests and the tour boat guests that meet at the hotel for the fjord tours. If you arrive before the tour boat guests have left there are no parking spaces. When we arrived and couldn’t find a space we were told to try again in an hour. Despite advertising free parking they suggested we pay $10 to park across the street. The front desk staff, however, is friendly and helpful. One young woman hunted down packages of hot chocolate for me and brought them to our room when they were out of them in the dining room.…
Have stayed here twice on our last two trips to Seward. The views of the marina are fantastic. The rooms were spotless and the bathrooms are very large. This hotel is a very good value for the rate. They have adapted their breakfast to be very covid friendly. Mostly it is the service that is great. The people here have been so friendly! They seem genuinely happy to work at this hotel and they should be proud of what they are doing. Highly reccomend for familes as well. On our first stay the kids had a blast at the pool.
My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Seward and Kenai Fjords. The location of the hotel couldn't be any better, right on the main strip. Parking was a challenge in the afternoon, as a lot of boat excursions leave from the 360 late morning and return around 5:30pm. After that, there's plenty of parking. Our room was large. They had laundry facilities (thank goodness!). Breakfast was included every morning. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We would easily return!
The hotel is located right on the Marina within walking distance to the Train, restaurants and shops. The breakfast was good and had a lot to chose from. Hotel is dated but very clean and kept up well.
If you want to stay in Seward, this is the place to be. Right on the water, you can even step right into one of several tour boats docked next to the hotel ==> "Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Cruise from Seward" ! CLEAN ROOM, BIG BATHROOM/COUNTER SPACE, NICE SHOWER, NOT a fancy hotel. VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Once you park your car (free overnight parking), you won't need to use it while staying in Seward, AK.
