I walk to explore every city i visit and Hyatt Olive 8 is an excellent jump off point. Capital Hill, Seattle Center, Eastlake, Belltown, Public Market, Downtown, Pioneer Square and the sports arena area are all walkable. Rooms are clean and modern, the gym is excellent and the staff is always informative, speedy and friendly. Nice lobby seating area and the restaurant serves excellent breakfast.

I do too! I believe walking is really the only way to experience a city. Otherwise, we tend to point out that we'll add that location later...and few ever do. Seattle is a wonderful walking city and the Light Rail can help you get to outlying areas like Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, University of WA. There are new shops and restaurants opening frequently, so each time you visit the Emerald City, new areas of interest abound. We love our Fitness Center with the Peleton bikes and my favorite - the cool towels in the little fridge for your post-workout cool-down. We sincerely appreciate your comments about our staff. We love making our guests feel welcomed to their 'home away from home' each time they stay. Finally, thank you for the 'shout out' for Urbane restaurant too! Urbane uses locally sourced ingredients, so each time you dine, you're getting a true Taste of Washington. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Grand Hyatt Seattle soon - and in the meantime, wish you and yours well.

Great hotel experience could use thicker blankets had to request more- they are thin. Steam room is amazing after a rainy Seattle day. Good location for restaurants and 2 blocks from Westlake station. Would stay again

I loved that you mentioned a nice steam after a rainy day in Seattle for your review of your stay at the Hyatt at Olive 8 Seattle! That sounds just perfect. We have Elaia spa right next to the pool/sauna area - so if you need a massage, mani/pedi etc., it's just a skip away. I was happy to hear that you called for additional blankets! You can request items anytime like blankets, foam pillows and other forgotten items like a toothbrush- just call the Front Desk or Housekeeping. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

There is so much to recommend this hotel: courteous staff; quiet and beautiful room; well-appointed; good location. The front desk staff and the manager were so helpful when I checked in. They even took the time to help me at the market (which had closed) and showing me the meeting area for my conference.

Your recommendation means everything to us at the Hyatt at Olive 8 Seattle! We really enjoy making our guests feel we're their 'home away from home' as soon as they walk in the door. This is especially important when you're traveling on business. It's challenging enough to be away from family and home. I hope you had a great conference experience too. We are fortunate to be located within walking distance of the Washington State Convention Center, so it makes conferences a breeze when you stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

The Hyatt Olive 8 is nicely located downtown near the convention center. The rooms are well maintained. The large indoor swimming pool and hot tub are my favorite features along with the sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms. I was put off by the large signs in large type in the rooms asking guests to not rape their staff and announcing that staff have anti-rape emergency buttons in case you try. The room and parking taxes were also quite high. These all may be problems with Seattle rather than just this hotel. I think the message from the city is for guests to take their business to a friendlier less threatening city. The final straw for me was breakfast room service arriving in paper bags in disposable containers. What???

Check in was smooth and quick. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was excellent. I wish more hotels had customer service like Olive 8. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Beds and pillows were very comfy which provided good sleep. I will definitely stay again when I am in the city.

What a lovely review! Thank you for the 'shout out' for Amanda. She is the Front Desk Manager and like all of our colleagues, takes special care of guests making them feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door. We love making you feel like you're 'home' with us and that is what makes staying at a Hyatt a different experience. Our Housekeeping Department will be tickled pink to read your comment about the cleanliness of our rooms. They take pride in what they do and love when it's felt in the outcome. I love describing our beds and pillows like a big fluffy marshmallow just waiting for you. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you back to the Hyatt at Olive 8 Seattle soon!
