I am Lifetime Titanium with Marriott Bonvoy. I booked a room at this property for my family's Mother's Day weekend. Since this property was built, it has been a favorite spot for a staycation. Have always found it to be a good value. I used Suite Night Awards to upgrade. When I arrived at check-in I was told the property had been in contact with corporate and my upgrade was not going to be honored because the room I had selected was not eligible for an upgrade. If that's the case, why was it offered? It had been confirmed a couple of days prior to my arrival. Since there was a change to my reservation I felt that should have been communicated to me prior to my arrival. It was not reflected in my account's online reservation and was still showing the upgrade as being confirmed afterward. The front desk agent was rude and very unapologetic. Treated me as if I had made a mistake with how I made my reservation. I could not have been in error. The upgrade was offered, I had the required Suite Night Awards, I made the request, it was confirmed. I was offered a different room which was not satisfactory, so since we're local, we left. After contacting Bonvoy customer service. My Suite Night Awards were returned and I was given 20,000 points as a goodwill gesture. Ruined what was to be a fun family outing to celebrate Mother's Day. The lack of communication and customer service was very disappointing. Once it was determined they had made a mistake, don't put it on me as the customer as if I made the mistake. The upgrade should have been honored.…
My friends and I were looking for a decent hotel to stay in for the weekend and we wanted something with two bedrooms. Luckily we found this hotel it is a little further from pikes place but it’s definitely worth it. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. They recommended Dukes to us for dinner which was within walking distance and the food was really good. The room was very clean and big, it had two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a balcony. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a good stay in Seattle and wants to be water front. I will definitely be coming back.
We stayed here for a week while visiting a family member who was undergoing cancer treatment. This hotel is an easy walk to that center and also has many walking paths within easy reach. It looked like public transportation was readily available although we didn't use it. The morning breakfast was included in the price and despite Covid consisted of sausage/bacon, eggs, fruits, juice and bread/sweet rolls. The carryout restaurant had reliably good food for purchase. One note. With the virus in full swing and despite a nearly empty hotel, people seemed to rent the larger suites with large terraces for private parties on weekends. Our door adjoined one of these units. About 2 a.m. we were awakened by hallway noise and disgruntled partygoers who were locked out of their room and in a very disgruntled mood. I called the desk, they said the were aware of the problem and were taking care of it. The noise stopped almost immediately. Early the next morning we saw housekeeping staff cleaning the room. When I mentioned this to one of the nurses at (the above-referenced) cancer center she said that hotel rooms were one of the only places available for gatherings during Covid. She guessed that if the room was already being cleaned at 8 a.m., the party group must have been removed that evening probably shortly after my call. Wow. Talk about excellent service. Our visit had been draining because of family illness. So nice to know that RI staff was working to make our stay as pleasant as possible despite Covid and the other difficulties with which we were dealing. Well-run facility for sure.…
I picked this hotel based off of the availability of a room with a view and the decent pricing. As soon as we checked in we were blown away with how efficient and professional the staff is, we easily found parking and our room. Our room was extremely comfortable and felt like home instantly. The best part of our trip was visiting the True North Tavern located in the hotel, amazing drinks, amazing service, and the best dinner and dessert we’ve had in a long time! Jenn was such a great bartender/cook we’re very grateful she went out of her way to make our stay special. Thank you to everyone on staff, we look forward to our next stay!
I stayed there the beginning of June and was surprised to see that none of the staff are wearing masks. also they are not transparent about what has changed since the pandemic. they do not tell you at checkin that as an elite member you no longer get free water bottles. (they didn’t know why just said they can’t do it) and there is no longer any housekeeping and they don’t tell you. rooms are fine but you’ll have to ask for additional towels if you need them, they won’t think to bring you any even if you stay long-term. apparently there are new protocols due to COVID-19 but they do not tell you anything when you check in. lastly there is a lot of construction across the street so if you’re hoping to sleep in you will not be able to.
