I choose this motel (as it turns out) because it was convenient to my son's apartment and I helped him move in for a few days. It was only a couple of blocks away from his apartment complex and I was able to reserve a room with 2 double beds for our family's flexibility. This property was a motel which...

At first glance, the outside of the hotel appears like an old Howard Johnson's, but the rooms are cute, warm, and inviting. Totally perfect location and close to SEVERAL great eateries, shopping, and business. And the staff are VERY helpful ad super friendly!! (Thanks Sierra!) Very affordable and I WILL be staying here again!

My wife is disabled and there are some special needs we need to meet and the staff went overboard to meet our needs. All the people from the desk clerk to the maintenance man were all very accommodating. I recommend The Grove to everyone who needs a great place to stay.

My family and I stayed at The Grove for a family trip to Seattle and absolutely love it! The staff were friendly and efficient! The room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. As we were planning our trip into Seattle the Assistant Manager gave us tips and tricks to saving money and where to go! She suggested the City...

I think this might be the only hotel in West Seattle, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's a nice, no frills place to stay. The staff is always friendly, the rates are decent, and the rooms are fine. You're pretty close to everything in West Seattle, as well.

My husband and I have recently stayed twice at The Grove, The rooms are pretty bare, but the beds were comfortable, the shower hot, there was no noise and we were happy with how close we were to the heart of West Seattle. On our second visit, there was a power outage caused by a small explosion down the street....

What they have done in the retro remodel, and essentially rebuild, of this hotel is nothing short of phenomenal. I stay here everytime I visit Seattle (4-5 times a year). Affordable but it does not feel like a budget hotel. Rooms are incredibly clean and new. This hotel was completely rebuilt with everything new (furnishings, beds, paint and woodwork.. all...

Clean room with necessary amenities, definitely a plus that dogs are welcome. Copious supply of basic breakfast cold staples. This is not a luxury hotel but the pricing and comfort of the rooms are adequate. Personnel was pleasant and helpful.

I requested an upper floor with extra pillows when I made my reservation about 3 weeks in advance. I was assigned a 1st floor room which turned out to be ok. The folks above me either were careful about stepping lightly or the construction of the rooms doesn't allow for the transfer noise from footsteps. Either way that was very...

Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit to The Grove. I do apologize for not having your requests for pillows and an upstairs room on record when you checked in. I did see that they were in the original reservation but not input into our system. We do always have plenty of extra pillows, blankets and...

I used to live in West Seattle and am back to visit family. This used to be a dumpy place and the new owners have definitely improved it immensely. That's great because it is the only hotel in the area. The only criticism I have is the "minimalism" is a bit much. I've never been in a motel that didn't...

John C, General Manager at The Grove, West Seattle Inn, responded to this review

Thank you for submitting a review of your stay at The Grove. You are right. The present inn is not the dumpy, creepy motel of the past. The present owners and management have turned the property around to a clean and comfortable place to stay that is affordable and convenient. I do apologize for only one nightstand. We did not...
