We have stayed here several times pre-Covid, and were happy to be able to return once vaccinated. The hotel is spotless, as always, and has all the pandemic-safe adaptations in place: elevators, rooms, hallways, common areas. I was very pleased to find a fresh-air filtration and circulation system in our room.
Love this boutique upscale hotel with the king suites. they’re super cozy and trendy. Love the sliding barn like doors for separation of space. The courtyard suites are all up on the 5th floor with the mezzanine overlooking Ballard and ships. No rooms connect apparently however and due to COVID access to the Olympia Athletic Club is closed to hotel guests.
We were married at the Hotel Ballard Hotel 10/24/15 and returned 10/24/20 to celebrate our 5 year anniversary there too. We had such a great stay! The room was spotless. COVID precautions were obvious, including wrapped/sanitized TV remotes, pens, etc. William and Cody helped me arrange for a room on the pavilion floor, and had a bottle of cold champagne and a sweet card waiting for us. We had a great dinner at Stoneburner (also COVID safe), and spent the next morning wandering through the Ballard Market. It was a great weekend escape. Thank you Hotel Ballard for making our stay so special.
Wife and I stayed her during Covid and had a fantastic time. Had a suite - bedroom and living room that looked over Ballard Street on 4th floor and so cool, so hip, so comfortable could not be better. View of the mountains the waterfront and the street below all full of color and life. Bed very comfortable, bathroom roomy and stylish. Service top notch all around. Stone Burner restaurant below is a great atmosphere was good menu and beverage selection. All around, cannot recommend this hotel enough - especially for the location, the town of Ballard never have to leave to have fun. Covid - everything felt clean and safe. Great great great hotel.
I was visiting Seattle for a few days of relaxation and decided to book my final night in Ballard for a change-of-pace. The Hotel Ballard appealed with its location (right in the middle of a cute strip of stores, and within walking distance to several restaurants) and boutique character. I booked a courtyard suite. This unique rooms are on the top floor and entered from a courtyard. They are definitely more expensive than several other accommodations in the Seattle area, but I felt the rate was reasonable for the quality of accommodation. The room itself was very stylish: a small living room with a fireplace, a bedroom with a king bed and ample storage space in side tables and and a dresser, and a particularly elegant bathroom with a skylight, large shower, and gloriously deep soaking tub. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and I liked that you could slide barn doors on either side of the bedroom to make it completely dark and very quiet. (Note: my reservation confirmation noted that some events are hosted in the meeting room on the courtyard level, which can cause noise; no such meeting occurred during my stay, and things were very quiet.). The bathroom amenities were Molton Brown and very nice; in-room coffee was high-quality. Everything was sparkling clean. The only downside of the room was the lack of a desk. Since I was traveling for pleasure, that posed no problem, but it would have been an irritant as a business traveler. Staff at the hotel were very accommodating. My check-out was extended by an hour without any problem. Parking was easy; there’s a small garage beneath the hotel. I appreciated that I was allowed to keep my car in the garage a bit past check-out time to facilitate some walking around the neighborhood. Very good location. The street outside the hotel features several local shops, nice bars (most without outdoor seating suitable for COVID-19), and good restaurants. Easy place to spend a couple of days. The hotel’s own restaurant looked like a chic space. There are better locations if one wishes to sightsee throughout Seattle (Ballard is a bit isolated), but if you want to stay in this section of Seattle, closer to the locals, this is a great spot. Overall, a very nice stay; I would not hesitate to recommend or return.…
