I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the University of Washington. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has many homeless people around, but I didn’t necessarily feel unsafe. The hotel itself and the parking are secure. Parking is under the hotel and the spots are SMALL. I had a compact as my rental, but I wouldn’t have wanted to park anything bigger than that in their lot, and street parking wasn’t an option close by. The hotel rooms themselves are large with a nice kitchen area stocked with cups, plates, utensils, etc, couch, desk, comfortable bed, and decent sized bathroom. If you’re staying for a long period, this would be a good choice because of the full kitchen and refrigerator. The hotel offers a complementary breakfast (to go only during COVID) and has a small “pantry” with grab and go items for purchase including a few frozen items. There’s a Trader Joe’s within walking distance, but I never made it over there. For me, the hotel suited my needs - a clean and comfortable place to stay where I could have access to UW w/o a long drive. …
We spent the weekend visiting our son and daughter-in-law. This residence inn was perfect. We stayed in a King Suite, large room, full kitchen, big bathroom, comfortable bed. The best is the safety - your room key gets you into the car parking garage, the elevator, and of course, your room. The room was sanitized. Morning breakfast was served by two very nice ladies. From a menu, you can choose hot or cold and various other items. You eat in the comfort of your own room. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return when we visit Seattle. The location is ideal - very close to the UW campus, a grocery store, and take-out restaurants close by.
We stayed here during move-in week for our UW student and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel was within walking distance of the university and the Avenue with tons of restaurants, shops and the UW bookstore. Our room itself was a good size for our family of 3 with a well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Parking is available. COVID changes were implemented well: - masks required - you have to reserve your time in the hotel gym for you and your household unit - hand sanitizer everywhere - housekeeping only cleans on Day 7+ I was pleasantly surprised that they still served the included breakfast but did so via takeout boxes. All in all, another great experience at a Residence Inn. Well done.
Stayed here for appointment at U of W Medical Center. Perfect location with facility minutes away. Has to be one of the cleanest hotels have stayed in for some time. Room was immaculate. Hallways and front desk area were spotless. Even in the parking garage you will not find a single gum wrapper on the ground. Kudos to the crew who maintains these areas. Hotel staff were always courteous and willing to help anyway they could. The room's shower was the ultimate. One of the best showers have ever seen in a hotel. For one thing the shower faucett handle is on the opposite side of shower from the shower head. So one is not reaching into the water to adjust the water temp or turning on or off. Give that shower a "10". Anytime I need to come back here I won't even consider staying anywhere else.…
Stayed two nights recently. Staff is nice and accommodating. Room is clean and comfortable. Those are the good things. However, the place is locked down. You need your key just to open the main door. Security is needed overnight due to the unsafe conditions. People right outside the hotel seem to be on something and causing issues in the streets. The city overall is not a safe place to be at the moment. I would cancel if I had a trip planned in the near future.
