Warm and genuine, our host Carol prepared an amazing breakfast! The wonderfully comfortable beds in room A were we stayed had a small, all marble private bath with plush towels. All this in downtown Anchorage. Wish I could attach a photo of the scrumptious breakfast Buffet.

I have had the good fortune to stay at the Arctic Fox Inn these last two summers, while visiting Alaska's majestic national parks. It became a home base for me to return to only to jump to another remote area of Alaska. And there is no place like home! Carol Hall made sure my larger bag was safely stowed, while away...

Excellent stay, much better than the hotel where I stayed in Anchorage. Lovely rooms, very clean and comfortable with sitting room in the apartment, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful host.

The Goods: This lovely Inn is located just off the main areas of downtown Anchorage where you can walk around. The Innkeepers, especially Allan and Sue, were exceptional in their hospitality. The rooms are beautifully kempt and have a homely feel. The hosts were very helpful in guiding us around how to make the most of our stay there. The...

Thank you for your review. How unfortunate that your shower was not working properly. That problem has never been reported, so we had no way of knowing that there was a malfunction. Our apologies! We enjoyed having your family as guests.

We stayed at the Arctic Fox Inn twice during our recent trip. The first night we stayed in a queen room on the ground floor. It was small but very nice, with a beautifully renovated bathroom. The room had a tv and wifi. We came back through Anchorage a few days later and stayed in a one bedroom apartment on...

Thank you for taking the time to review our downtown inn. As you probably guessed, we are in the process of remodeling all the bathrooms, kitchens, etc., here at the Arctic Fox. We enjoyed having you stay with us for both of your visits. We trust that you had a fabulous time while visiting our great state of Alaska!

We stayed here for 2 nights. Wonderful people, owners and staff alike. The main area is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Possibly one of the best breakfasts that I have had. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was very clean and comfortable. The location was I walking distance to historic downtown. These are the negative side: They have...

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that our inherent negatives made for a less-than-stellar stay with us here at the Arctic Fox. Should you return to Alaska, please do give our other property, Wildflower Inn, a try. Unlike the downtown location of the Arctic Fox, you will find the Wildflower Inn located in a close-to-downtown residential area. It...

We selected the Artic Fox Inn for a pleasant B&B that was within easy walking distance of downtown Anchorage but outside enough to be reasonable. It met all of our needs perfectly. We were arriving from Denali by train and the Inn is a short taxi ride from the train station. Walkable with light luggage but a chore if you...

Thank you for your review of Arctic Fox Inn. Yes, the train horns can be heard from our place.......music to some ears, an annoyance to others! Please know that we appreciate your comments and enjoyed having you as guests with us here in downtown Anchorage.

I love staying at B&B's and rely heavily on sites like Tripadvisor from fellow travelers when selecting one so thank you to all the reviewers who take the time to write reviews! My 30-year high school reunion was a perfect time to haul my kids, grandkids, a spouse, and a friend, up to Alaska, for a total of 10 people....

Thank you so much for your pros and cons to Arctic Fox Inn. We are sorry about the noise from the nearby kitchen. That problem is currently being addressed aggressively by their establishment with major improvements noted in the past weeks. We enjoyed having your family and friends as guests here.

Very comfortable rooms. Plenty of attention to detail. Only problem was no lifts, and carting luggage to the room(s) can be a downer for the not so fit. Hosts were terrific, breakfast was excellent. The place is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Anchorage. Not a problem for us. And this place is not expensive.

It is true. Our B&B does not have an elevator and does have stairs. Certainly our staff here is not adverse to carrying guest bags, should that be a necessity or of help. In spite of that, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for your review.

Our property sits on the edge of downtown Anchorage overlooking the Cook Inlet, AK Railroad train depot, Ship Creek (urban salmon fishing!), Historic Government Hill, and one of the only water towers in Alaska. The call of seagulls and a light, salty breeze will remind guests that they're near the ocean, while distant train whistles and the sound of bush planes pay homage to The Last Frontier. “The area may look a bit scary as it is downtown. But we were never concerned. A homeless shelter or soup kitchen is nearby but we were not bothered by anyone. Upon making my reservation the owner/manager called me and suggested we upgrade from a studio unit to the two bedroom apartment since there were four of us. The upgrade cost was minimum and we are so glad we did. We are sure we were much more comfortable.”
