Clean hostel in good location close to bus routes to down town and a grocery store 5 minute walk away. Great kitchen with free tea, coffee, and juice and lots more. Friendly manager and free wifi. A great value place to stay.

We stayed here in September 2013 and October 2013 and it was the best hostel we have stayed in. Joe was very friendly and super helpful, he directed us to local restaurants, let us borrow camping equipment and propane, suggested where to camp and let us use the phone. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as are the bathrooms. The... More

During a recent trip, I needed two layover trips. The first was arriving late at the Anchorage Airport. Although we came in late (after 1:00 am), Joe was very understanding. The Hostel is clean and basic. In expensive Alaska, it is affordable. We had a private room for $56 compared to hotel rooms of triple that price. Our room was... More

run by friendly owner operators this place is super spotless clean. common areas are large and light with a great big kitchen space. private rooms have a very comfy firm double mattress and there is enough shared bathrooms that you usually dont have to queue. the hotel is about 25 minutes walk south of town halfway to the airport in... After spending a few days in new York we travelled to anchorage arrived in late and stayed in Arctic adventure. The staff were friendly. The room was clean as was the kitchen and bathroom. Its was a very quiet hostel (after new York that was very welcome!!) There did seem to be a lot of rules around the place (I... More

I went to Anchorage and I wanted a place to rest and sleep while I was in the city. I find this place really good considering that I was expecting to be in a good place, clean, safe and with affordable prices. The hostel is located midtown and you have a walmart 10 min away...so is very convenient. Tip: If... More

I've stayed in a lot of hostels, and generally I do not have high expectations. I'm very willing to overlook minor inconveniences, but what I experienced at this place was not minor. First of all, the people who run the place (a couple) are extremely rude. They are not the kind of people you want running a hostel. They make... More

First and foremost, we (the owner and I) apologize if we came off unhappy during your first stay- previous to the night you address here. It is never our intention to give off a negative impression, and we do want our guests to feel comfortable and welcome. In regards to our closing time, it is true that on nights that... More

We only stayed one night so this review is based only on what we experienced in about 18 hours. We stayed in a double room on the top floor. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The other rooms on that floor seemed pretty full so there was a bit of a wait for the bathroom - often the... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. If you are ever to stay with us again, please stop by the office and we can direct you to several really good local restaurants within, at most, a 15 minute walk from the hostel. Just to name a few: Moose's Tooth (a favorite for locals), Spenard Roadhouse, Larry's Cocoon... More

My partner and I recently stayed here while travelling in Anchorage. We booked here because of its excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and Hostelworld. Unfortunately for us the reviews were not an accurate representation of the service we received from this place. Before you think we are a pretentious couple, we are not. We have travelled significantly around the world and... More

Thank you for your stay. To address your concerns, there are 4 places in the building that have a sign posted. “We had two stays there, both on the top floor. Both rooms were quiet and right across the hall from the bathroom/shower. However, being on the top floor also meant the rooms got a bit warm in the evening! About the only downside I can think of to the Midnight Sun!”
