Great inexpensive choice on my stopover. Host gave very helpful suggestions which made it possible for me to make the most of my visit. Very good location near downtown. Ran on Coastal Trail and enjoyed beautiful views. Will stay here again. Glad for the free wi-fi. Considerate host even provided some soy milk which I requested for breakfast.

Very nice home near downtown. Arrived at flower planting time and relaxed in this quiet retreat before my longer extended trip to Europe. B&B near grocery-deli and Coastal Trail for walking along this beautiful arctic ocean and seeing eagle and crane - missed the moose. Loved the eco-friendly environment. Adequate continental breakfast. Best part was the nice family and a...

Took my family for visit late summer and stayed in spacious 2 bedroom garden apartment. What I like is a friendly unique family oriented B&B - and this is one. My children enjoyed visiting with the host family; we enjoyed the nearby schoolyard playground and Coastal Trail where we could walk along the ocean. Host gave great eating and sight-seeing...

Very friendly non-hotel style B&B. We stayed in a large 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and livingroom which was close to the grocery and deli. The hosts were very helpful providing sight seeing tips. The setting was rustic and private - we saw a moose as we walked on the Coastal Trail where our host suggested we walk on our...

For my birthday we went to Alaska and stayed in this historic home - not fancy but we loved the huge two bedroom apartment with livingroom and kitchen - we could walk to the store and eat and bring back leftovers to warm. Kids loved internet and cable. I liked the quiet and the very helpful host and her children...

Quiet rustic location is easy walk to downtown and market with great cafeteria style meals. B&B furnished nice breakfast basket as well as refrig with fruits and drinks. Best part was...

Enjoyed large quiet room with fireplace and kitchen and free Internet. Able to catch up on laundry with adjoining laundry. Very clean, with lots of art work and convenient library. Walked to grocery and wonderful bakery. Coastal Trail was only a block and rented a bike to bike 10 miles out in wilderness. Host Family was very friendly and helpful...

Pleasantly surprised with the judge's studio - clean, fresh and airy with large windows opening onto the gardens. Pleasantly surprised with breakfast basket since I expected to have to buy food for breakfast in our private kitchenette. Very well located near international bakery and grocery with small restalurant. Rented bikes and within 5 minutes we were in wilderness on the...

By calling and making a reservation, I found an unadvertised room under a hundred dollars priced for a single traveller - very clean, comfortable with refrig. and which shared a bathroom with only one other room. I followed the host's suggestions and walked to the Coastal Trail to see the eagle nest. Then I enjoyed European scones and coffee sitting...

No shoe policy very inconvenient. Entryway, Kitchen and shared bathroom very cluttered, uncomfortable! Did not get a receipt for our payment; when we got home after our trip to AK, realized we had been charged $80 more than the owner quoted.
