No shoe policy very inconvenient. Entryway, Kitchen and shared bathroom very cluttered, uncomfortable! Did not get a receipt for our payment; when we got home after our trip to AK, realized we had been charged $80 more than the owner quoted.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), and we stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. We paid 175 dollars per night for a 2-queen-bed room (no private bath), but the room plus breakfast was not worth the price. We would not recommend this place for the following 4 reasons. 1) No bed-making and no towel...

The location was great - within a 5 minute walk of the downtown shopping centers and anchorage Museum. I found the owner to be very friendly, and her and her daughters do a great job keeping the rooms tidy and clean. I especially enjoyed all the Alaskan reading material and the authentic Alaskan 'ambiance' to the rooms- something that is...

Location, location, location. That's what is good! The rooms smelly musty probably because the suite is 1/2 under ground ["Homes in Alaska have no basement due to permafrost" although we saw a 3-story underground home.] and there is a note telling the occupants to not turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom because "it makes noise" in the owner's...

The chief good points were the cleanliness (despite the clutter), and the kind spirit of the owner. But I would not recommend staying here if you don't like clutter and especially if you have small children. I was not fully comfortable staying at the Bed and Breakfast. I am not comfortable with clutter and the kitchen area was cluttered with...

Ok, let me start by saying this is my first review, and the only time in my adult life where I have packed up my stuff and left regardless of the no refund policy... Read that policy, by the way, there is a reason there is a 24 hour cancelation for the first night only- but 14 days for additional...

Stayed in the judges suite, and it was like camping on the floor in a cluttered basement. Towels very musty, even after we washed them ourselves. We finally just bought our own towels. Breakfast was just store bought muffins, yogurt and fruit in frig. Didn't trust it at all, the butter was rancid. Location is great. But Courtyard by Merriot...

Very much enjoyed my solo visit after a stay in the convention hotel. Here rates were very reasonable and the family was friendly and helpful - they helped with suggestions for restaurants, sites, and even a "First Friday Art Opening" which was quite fun, tho' very cold walking to these openings. Liked use of free wi fi, and free convenient...

Very short trip to see the Fur Rendezvous dog races. Were pleasantly surprised by this quiet homey B&B who gave up tips on seeing the melodrama, reindeer races, dog sled rides, and a convenient inexpensive deli. Rate was excellent. Glad I stayed a few days here on my way to Seattle.
