My husband & I traveled to Iceland with Krummi Tours on a 5 day trip we stayed at Ensku Husin. From the moment we walked into the Guesthouse we felt so welcome. Our room was so cute, very comfortable. The view around the guesthouse was breath taking to see the mountains with snow. The owners Hjorleifur and Anna are wonderful,...

The owners of this lovely place have done a wonderful job welcoming guests. Be warned that this is not a place to go if you want a pool, television, and the amenities of a 5 star resort. This is a place to go to learn of the people of Iceland. These wonderful owners live off the land. Their farm to...

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, for work and for pleasure, and none can compare with Ensku Husin. I stayed for 5 days while touring the local area. Hjörleifar and Anna made me feel like part of the family. Hjörleifar is also an amazing chef. You won't get better food anywhere in the world. If you want to...

We stayed here one night in December while on a tour of Iceland. I seldom write a negative review and it is difficult for me to write this review We arrived at check in time and our room wasn't ready. We talked with one of the owners for a while and got a history of the property. We were informed...

My husband and I just spent 2 nights at the Ensku Husin guesthouse, as part of a self-drive tour. The guesthouse is a great starting point for exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and Borgarnes. As we arrived at Ensku Husin, the lovely owner told us we would be staying at their other cottage about 1km away, and showed us the way....

The original farmhouse has been restored and additional independent units in an appropriate style have been recently built. We stayed in one. We appreciated the excellent facilities, including two luggage racks (even hotels normally provide only one), especially convenient in limited spaces. Evening meals could be ordered and were excellent, an important option since a drive to the nearest town...

The place is beautiful and very authentic. However, the conditions are not very good. First, the rooms are very modest. There is no television. The bed is not comfort. Most of the furniture are Ikea style. Moreover, the breakfast begins very late, at 8 am. At 8 o'clock, most of the travelers arrive, thus, it is crowded in the tiny...

This hotel is not located in the city center but a bit more into the countryside, which is perfect if you prefer to be surrounded by nature. There is even a small waterfall which is a private fishing area. We didn't know at first that it was private so we went in to take some pictures. The hotel staff were...

The lodging was secluded and peaceful and was situated in the mist of vast landscapes with a river and waterfall nearby. It was similar to a bed and breakfast. During our travels to Iceland, it seemed, everywhere we turned, we stumbled upon another waterfall. Upon our arrival at the Ensku Husin, my husband and I were greeted warmly and escorted...
