Unused to Icelandic accomodation, we were a bit surprised by this hotel but found that we were treated well by management - given a large top floor room for the three of us. Views were good from the balcony, but inside was a bit haphazard. They must be renovating the hotel room-by-room as vacancies allow. Our conclusion was: "at least... More

This was a reasonably priced worn and dated motel. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet so it was acceptable for one night. The breakfast was better than expected but below the other breakfasts on our trip.

This hotel is just outside of Borgarnes, right after the causeway crosses the river, so easy to find. We opted for a room with private bath, but there are rooms with shared facilities as well. Although our room faced the mountains and road, we didn't hear any road noise, just the occasional crunch of tires on gravel as guests arrived... More

Wow! We had a wonderful, wonderful night there. Everything was sooooo nice that I do not actually know what to say. This place is absolutely not to be missed in any case. We had a very early morning flight from Switzerland. Had lunch in Reykjavik and a hop on hop off bus tour (I'll talk about that later). And then... More

Excellent for more or less tired travelers who needs a place to charge their batteries up with a good night sleep. We had last room for the day and price was cheap vs average cost for night in iceland. Beautiful building, shared bathroom was easy to use and private room was nice. Breakfast was good also. Its a bit far... More

The Hotel is a bit outside of Borgarnes, so a car would be helpful to reach it. It rewards you though with a nice view on the town. The rooms are quite simple but comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful and you have all the time access to soft drinks, beer and snacks from a little bar - just take... More

This hotel is right in between the mountains and the water near Borgarnes. It's easy to find and access, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My room was quaint and cozy, and I found it quieter than other hotels and guest houses I stayed at in Iceland. Two of their big pluses were the fast, reliable wifi (I was... More

If you remember this is a one star hotel and therefore much cheaper as the other higher rated hotels, this is good value for money. The room was very basic and dated with no luxury trappings normally associated with higher rated hotel rooms such as there was no TV, take away toiletries or tea/coffee making facilities in your room. However... More

Very pleasant room. Shower a bit small, toilet a bit shaky. Bed soft as in all Iceland hotels. Curtains do not keep out the light. Staff very helpful. All in all I certainly recommend these accommodations.

Position very good with a beautiful panorama, breakfast good and plentiful, room a little bit small but with sink. In reception you can find maps and info about Borganes, and during the night you can take drinks, simply writing the items and the room number
